I have very dry, flaky, fairly sensitive skin especially during the colder months. I've used the St. Ives peach scrub in the past but it's a bit abrasive and specifically meant for acne prone skin. This scrub works so much better for my skin type. It has a gentle exfoliating base made of walnut shell powder and oatmeal. It also smells divine! It's super gentle on my skin, yet works well to remove flaky dry skin and leaves my skin feeling clean, fresh and glowing. Definitely recommended! Especially if you have dry skin. Read more

I bought this because of the natural exfoliants and an inclination towards more natural products. However, it should be noted that this is not 100% natural, which a quick look at the ingredients will tell you this. Rather, let this product stand as a compromise between the two as it seems to shy away from more questionable ingredients like parabens. How does it work? It's great. The exfoliants work without being harsh like some other exfoliants on the market. Supposedly, oatmeal is beneficial to the skin. How does it look and feel? It has a smooth, light, viscosity similar to a moisturizer or lotion. Inside the white product, you can see white and brown, tiny exfoliants. How does it smell? I must admit, this is probably the only con of the scrub. It definitely has a chemical smell that St. Ives tries to mask. I'm not sure how to properly describe it. It's not unpleasant but I expected it to smell more natural. The best comparison I can give is it smelling like a very light candle. Will I buy it again? No. I bought it because it claims to have some natural ingredients, and it was cheap so I decided to try it out. I will probably move on to using all natural or organic ingredients. The St. Ives Oatmeal Scrub and Mask is good, but it's not exactly what I'm looking for. Conclusion: Let's face it. (Pun unintended) Everyone needs an exfoliant. Our skin is constantly shedding, and depending on your skin type, the dead skin can clog pores. You should also be looking for more natural ingredients in everything you use for your body because those ubiquitous, chemical ingredients are slowly being exposed as dangerous to your health. However, you wouldn't truly appreciate an all natural or organic product until you have tried something from the other side of the spectrum. With the light consistency, natural exfoliants, and cheap price, the St. Ives Oatmeal Scrub and Mask is a great product in transition to a more natural or organic product. Read more

This mask/scrub is great. You can smooth it on and leave it on for a while as a mask or rub it in and wash it right off as a scrub. Read more

Excellent Face Scrub and love thier natural microbeads that does not feel like those big plastic beads and do not hurt either. Gives good exfoliation! I was hesitant initally to order this Face wash given its low price, but it turned out Awesome!! The fragrance of this Oat is very mild and soothing. The scrub is creamy but foams little and when you wash your face, it leaves your skin supple and moisturized. After using so mnay different Face Wash, I usually have to immediately moisturize my face using a separate moisturizer as skin feels dry after the wash. But this one will leave the skin nicely moisturized. Just have to be careful that beads do not go in your eyes or ears. Read more

This is a great exfoliant. The particles are very fine. I use it about 3 times a week and it leaves my face ultra smooth and super clean. I work it into my lips too, and it really polishes off the dry skin and makes my lips smooth too, I would not say this is moisturizing, but I think it allows your moisturizer to work better. I think it would work well for all skin types. Read more
