Latina here with tan skin, I was struggling to find a sunscreen that didn't have a white cast or leave my face looking shiny/oily. This is the winner!!! I was using three different sunscreens - one to apply on my eye lids, another for all over my face and neck, and one for my body. This one I bought to try specifically for my eye lids. I put it to the test in FL heat and humidity. It did not run into my eyes or burn. It did not build up in my crease (hate when that happens!). This applies like a smooth lotion and absorbs well. I ended up using it all over my face and neck. No scent which is a huge plus for me. Also want to mention that I'm an occasional make up wearer. I did try to put e.l.f. power grip primer on my lid after the sunscreen set in...this did not work, the primer pulled the sunscreen off/smearing it around. I had to tap the whiteness down on my lid to let it dry, my shadow pronounced the rough/patchy spots that the primer smeared the heaviest. I went without primer and continued to use the sunscreen under make up, works perfectly! I only use eye shadow, mascara and powder over my face. (if you normally use primer or heavier make up, this is not going to lock your make up in place. I got by with the no make up look). No pilling. No shine through or oily look. I have normal skin, easily sweat in the heat and humidity and dealing with some skin peeling from using a retinoid. This sunscreen has handled it all and feels amazing on the skin! Feels smooth and light on my face. Would maybe need something a bit heavier for winter if you have dry skin, but this is perfect for warmer weather. Read more
I have combination skin, that monthly breakouts when its the special time of the month so I try not to use products to make my skin more oily. This moisturizer sunscreen feels light, goes on like a moisturizer, and absorbs immediately, no white cast. No adverse skin reactions. Tube will last about 3 months if you use in the morning only before work like I do. Will definitely buy again. But I like to find atleast 2 or 3 products that works for me, and rotate products when one is finished. Just in case I can't get my favorite product, I have 2 more Brands I can use. But please don't be scared to try this sunscreen, you will love it, I only apply this sunscreen to face and neck. I use the other body sunscreens to apply to my body. Read more
I wear sunscreen everyday but may if the ones of tried leave my face looking white or greasy. This one is nice and lightweight and wears well on the skin. Can be worn alone or under makeup without causing issues. I took one star off because I had a lot of trouble finding product details in English when I got pregnant and was trying to determine if its ingredients were safe to use during pregnancy. I ultimately stopped using just to be safe but will consider going back after baby is born. Read more
I decided it was time to switch up my face sunscreen (previous well-known product started with an N, I'm sure you can deduce which) because I was dealing with burning eyes partway through the day and I'd have to wash my face and reapply everything just to continue functioning normally. I'd taken it as "Well it's hot here and I have naturally oily skin so I guess this is how life is" but I hated that idea, so I tried out something new: THIS ONE. I don't know a lot about sunscreen except I need it, so I can't say I did research to find the best one out there or anything, but I did check reviews and saw there were good ones for this product and decided to give it a go. Day one of use, to my amazement, it went on without any film after it soaked into my skin (like...30 seconds after application). No greasy appearance, no white cast on my admittedly white-ish, 40-year-old sun damaged skin. I was impressed! Fast forward to midday, when I usually have to reapply because my eyes burn so badly, and... nothing. I even reapplied right over my makeup without washing anything off. My eyes were completely unbothered. Amazing. Then, we really put this stuff to the test on vacation in Florida- I used this on my face and neck, and good old Coppertone everywhere else. Everywhere else got burned within an hour (and I even developed rashes all over where I'd applied the standard sunscreen!) but my face was completely burn-free and irritation free. Back in street clothes you'd never know my chest was lobster colored or my shoulders were still hot to the touch, because my face and neck were pristine. 5 stars, highly recommend. Read more
Pros: 1. The product has a really nice and thin ‘lotion’ consistency which is nice especially if you’re like me and you don't enjoy the feeling of smothering something thick and heavy:greasy on your face so that is a plus. Rubbed in easy and no white cast at all. 2. Didn’t sting my eyes or eyelids. 3. No greasy skin or shine and it also didn’t pill on my face. 4. Skin looked slightly radiant after applying. Cons/ neutral thoughts: It has a very slight fermented smell which disappears shortly after applying maybe only noticed for a minute or two and then no smell leftover. I didn’t mind it, it reminded me of a faint Sake smell. But others may not like it 😂 2. It doesn’t feel drying but also not hydrating or very moisturizing. Sorta in between, maybe putting a moisturizer underneath it would be better? I imagine it would work really well under makeup if you wear it. Read more
Back to order more! I wasn't confident in how this would work in the summer so I didn't start using it until the fall since I'm using a retinoid and still need the SPF. Turns out this works great! On a day that I was outside a lot, I missed applying on part of my neck and that section burned so bad, but my face and other half of my neck were great! I now make sure I'm thorough on application to face, neck and ears and its been VERY effective. As other mentioned, it absorbs cleanly (actually makes a great moisturizer too) and it has no fragrance. I wish I could get a tube big enough to use on my body as well! Read more
