Sturdy Enough for Daily Wear, Not Just a Holiday Prop

I ordered these St. Patrick’s Day shamrock sunglasses for my grandson thinking they would be a fun, one-day accessory for school. I assumed they would be lightweight novelty glasses that might not survive the week. I was very wrong. Right out of the package, I noticed they felt solid. The frames are thick and sturdy, and the hinges feel secure instead of flimsy. They honestly feel closer to my daily glasses than to typical costume pieces. They even came in a nice little cloth drawstring bag, which was a thoughtful touch and makes them easy to store or toss in a backpack without getting scratched. I tried them on myself and they will fit an adult face, but they were just a bit snug at first. They could likely be stretched out slightly to be more comfortable for adult wear. On my 8 year old grandson, though, they fit perfectly. He absolutely loves them and has been wearing them every day. I do not have to worry about them falling apart before St. Patrick’s Day even gets here. Pros: • Much sturdier than expected • Thick, solid frames and secure hinges • Includes a cloth drawstring storage bag • Fits kids well and can fit adults with minor adjustment Cons: • Slightly tight on adult faces out of the package If you are looking for shamrock glasses that are more than just a quick costume prop, these are a pleasant surprise. They feel durable enough to last well beyond one lucky day. Read more

Ready for St. Patrick’s Day Fun

Well, St. Patrick’s Day is tomorrow and these glasses are definitely going to make an appearance. I’m not Irish, but I’ve always had a few friends who celebrate the holiday and I’m more than happy to join the festivities. These shamrock glasses fit the occasion perfectly. They’re bright, fun, and impossible not to notice. The clover design really stands out and immediately puts you in the St. Patrick’s Day spirit. I was also pleasantly surprised by how well they’re made. They don’t feel flimsy like some novelty glasses do, and they sit comfortably on the face. If you’re heading to a party, parade, or just hanging out with friends celebrating the holiday, these definitely add to the fun. Tomorrow they’re coming with me, and I’m pretty sure they’ll get a few laughs and compliments along the way. Happy St. Patrick’s Day Read more

Ready for the St. Patrick's Day parade, and everything's so green!

Got these shamrock shades, and they're a very fun accessory to celebrate during St. Patrick's day. These glasses are made of a sturdy lightweight plastic with metal and do not feel flimsy at all. Surprisingly, they didn't weigh me down while wearing them. The green tint is the right shade of green for the Irish theme, and honestly, they just look cool with their shamrock style. But be warned, EVERYTHING turns green. Caution of you're driving, it could be total chaos! Ok, use your better judgement. Unlike a lot of cheap novelty glasses, these have UV 400 protection, so my eyes will stay safe while walking outside. Also they have smooth nose pads, no flexy side hinges, but still, these glasses don't pinch my mellon head, so that says a lot about how comfortably they fit. With these glasses I'm ready for my next pub crawl. They would also be perfect for photo booths or just embarrassing your friends at a get-together. Either way, I found them to be very fun. Overall, they’re inexpensive enough to be worry free if they get damaged, yet fun enough with a good quality build to last until next year. For me, I'm ready to look festive without dealing with uncomfortable plastic glasses. These glasses fit well, look good, and are the way to go while celebrating with my Irish pals. Read more

These Shouldn’t Be This Good

I hate how much I like these. For novelty sunglasses, these are shockingly well made. They’re lightweight, comfortable, and don’t pinch or squeeze, even on a larger head. No sharp metal bits, no weird pressure behind the ears, and no “get these off my face immediately” feeling. I wore them around the house for about an hour with zero discomfort. The lenses do turn everything green, as advertised, but visibility is actually very good. These are perfect for St. Patrick’s Day parties, costumes, or general goofing around. I wouldn’t drive in them, but that feels like a common-sense disclaimer rather than a flaw. Build quality is much better than expected. They feel solid, reusable, and not like a one-night-only novelty item. They even came with a small cloth storage bag, which was a pleasant surprise. The glasses sit straight on the face and don’t slide around or tilt awkwardly. Fun, comfortable, durable, and way better than they need to be. Read more

ugly but high quality and generally look as advertised

This product comes with one pair of decorative glasses that don't really do anything in terms of sun protection but work well as part of celebrating St. Patrick's Day. They have a four-leaf clover as each lens, and it's a nice shade of green that works well in a decorative or celebratory event. The lenses are a bit big and probably would look better if 20% smaller. The glasses look a little strange on a head, but I don't think a lot of people were expecting four-leaf-clover-lens glasses to look really normal on a head, anyway. They are a little more awkward-looking than in the manufacturer's pictures, but they generally are as advertised. They are also sturdy and the material quality is high, to a degree that's actually pretty surprising. The price is fine also, especially considering the high quality. I think these are worth buying if you're looking for St. Patrick's Day glasses, but it's not like they're going to be useful year-round. Read more
