This is a wonderful product for doing doors and windows. They have a video attached to this product as well. It shows people putting it in the cracks where the door frame meets the house's wood frame, which is still being framed out, to create a tighter seal around the door and reduce air leakage into the home. This foam package and applicator give very good value for the money. The instructions on the can make it easy to use by simply screwing the can onto the applicator gun. The foam is very durable, but you must let it set for about 10 minutes before cutting and trimming the excess. The Foam sticks well to wood, particularly if you spray it with water before use, as the manufacturer suggests. The same features can also be used to seal windows. The kit comes with two containers one is the foam itself and one is a cleaner to clean the gun after use you can use the phone and when you’re done using the foam, you can take the cleaner foam and shoot that through the gun to clean it out so it doesn’t get jammed up by the foam or else the gun will only work once. It’s also important that you use the cleaner foam immediately after use, and when you finish, because if you leave the foam in the gun, it will harden and make it very difficult for additional foam to get through. Because of the nature of the foam, it’s something you have to do relatively quickly. Once you get started, your phone use your phone preferably, use up the entire can of foam that you start using, and then clean out your gun immediately thereafter so you’re protecting it for future Use. I use this at home. The windows on one side of the home are brand new; on the other side, some are 42 years old. So, I installed them, but they kept leaking air, so I don’t use the windows. I’m an air-conditioning person, so I use the foam to seal all the cracks in the windows where the air is blowing in from the outdoors, which is particularly important when it gets very, very cold. You can literally feel cold. They are blowing in through the windows, especially when there’s a strong wind outside. Excellent product, as intended for use. Read more

This Stanley F902P Pro Gun foam kit fixed my long-standing love hate relationship with spray foam. Foam itself is great. The cheap disposable straw applicators on standard cans are not. Flow is inconsistent, it’s hard to control, and once you stop using it, the rest of the can usually goes to waste. The adjustable gun completely changes that experience. You can dial in the flow rate and lay down a clean, consistent bead exactly where you want it. Around windows and doors, that control matters. The low expansion formula does what it’s supposed to do and doesn’t try to bow your frames. It also comes with cleaner, which means you can actually reuse the gun instead of tossing it. That alone makes this system worth it. Being able to use the remaining product on the next job instead of throwing half a can away is a big plus. If you’ve ever been frustrated with regular spray foam cans, this setup is a major upgrade. Cleaner application, better control, less waste. Easy five stars. Read more

I ordered this foam gun to help insulate and seal a barn that I've been rehabilitating. One of the last things I needed to do is seal the floor in front of the large Ag-door that is about 15 feet wide, sealing the flooring from the outside elements, rain and snow melt. I'd used some of the cans that have the plastic tube, but they're not as easy to use as this tool, and once used, you had better have used the whole can. The build of the foam gun is excellent. It's exceedingly sturdy, all metal, except for the replaceable lining tube that you put in prior to use. You can use part of the large sealant can and flush the gun with the can of foam cleaner that will dissolve the uncured foam in the gun, so it won't get blocked up. Applying the foam is as easy as can be. You put in a tube in the gun, attach the foam can, and start running a bead where you need it. When the foam expands, you'll have a tight seal that shouldn't leak. I highly recommend the Stanley F902P Window & Door Pro Gun, it's excellent. Read more

TL;DR: This low-expansion foam is effective for sealing gaps around frames without causing structural warping. I have tried this window and door pro gun sealant a few times. It appears to be made of high quality materials, and the value is good. This foam works fine. It is low expansion to prevent warping frames. The 24 oz can is gun-applied for better control than straw versions. It is tack-free in 7 minutes and can be cut in under 40. Since it bonds to wood and concrete, it creates a solid airtight barrier. It remains flexible after curing, making it easy to trim or sand down for a flush finish. My advice is to always use the included cleaner on your foam gun immediately after use. If you forget, you will essentially have a very expensive, polyurethane-filled paperweight by morning. It is a reliable choice for drafty spots 🏠💨🧴 Read more

I have used numerous stanley foams at this point. I have used their construction adhesive, quick adhesive, fire block, subfloor, and now window and door. I love how stanley designed their bottles and foam guns. Their gun cleaner is the least stinky of all the ones I have tried as well, but it is still very effective as long as the foam hasn't set yet. The window/door foam is a good low expansion foam that also works great at sealing foamboard on basement walls which is what I tested this on. It offers similar fire block resistance but wont push the foam off the wall if you add too much. Well I was worried other types could push it off before I could add the studwall. Overall, this is another great product from them. I have plenty left over, so I will likely be looking for a new use soon. A side note, I used this with 2in EPS foamboard. I sealed it off to prevent moisture from collecting on the cold surface in the gapped area. Read more
