We wanted another matching Black and Decker but needed the item within five days and ALL vendors had them on back order for over two weeks. I knew the Stanley was the same model except a bit more expensive which is why we opted for the B&D. However, this model, with digital and better front working pieces seemed intriguing if not only $5-10 more. Sprang for it. this model's digital readout consolidates ALL the three other types into one screen. Digital makes it a no guess on figures The buttons are now easier and it came with a charging cord where the B&D forced you to acquire one for about $5, albeit, I 'borrowed' a computer power cable for previous buy The provided charging cord is only 1' long: REALLY!!!! such a scrimp You can actually fit a 5' cable in there and I plan to trade that in from an old computer power connector cord. all this stores into the provided, top compartments, to even put the original user manual in there I've reported this has adequate power for our camping needs for Cell, DVD, a fan [one night only] and lights for two days: we wanted an extra to make sure we had no issues running out. at $120 it beats the Duracel packs we have bought years ago: lighter, and smaller footprint, PLUS has imbedded easy charging interface [no DC box] a compressor and zapping cables -- like it a lot SEPT 2016: UPDATEs to both the STANLEY and BLACK AND DECKER - since we 'dry' camp [no power or water but in a trailer] we've notice that these truly only last about a day when our DURACEL powerpacks -- albeit heavier, bulkier and less features -- lasted about two days. - we suspect due to the lighter entire package, with air compressor and charger cables, that the battery is actually just SMALLER. - having said that, I am still a bit more pleased with the compactness and easier swapping I can do, although, I need to buy 2/3 of these to continue. - BUT, and this is huge, near us at the camping site is a AC power outlet :) chaining the unit via a bike locking scenario, and using the built-in cord to charge the unit, we are good to go. SO, less than stellar but honestly the better unit out there. Read more

As others have said, it is a bit bulky, but that's fine for it's purpose. In preparation to jump my truck, I had the unit sitting in my engine compartment. I got into my truck on the driver-side, which shifted the truck a little and caused the unit to slide off the rim of the compartment. It fell about three feet and bounced off the pavement like a ping pong ball. My heart stopped for a second, but inspecting it there just a little cosmetic damage. The unit jumped the truck just fine, showing there was a good deal of effort put into its robustness. I'm very happy with it. Edit: July 8, 2017 I've had this unit for a year now, and have used it to jump my truck many times. I've finally bitten the bullet and replaced my faulty, terminal wiring and failing alternator, but this jumper kept me afloat to the very end. It has just-enough capacity to jump my truck twice before requiring a recharge. Its ability to recharge via the cigarette lighter outlet saved me a few times as well, particularly when I drove from Seattle, WA to Augusta, GA and back. I've used its outlets to power accessories and its air compressor to inflate tires and clean components. I love this unit! Read more

I have been using this for 3 years. It has jump started RV's, 4 Wheelers, SXS. It has blown up inflatables (large ones), ATV tires and car tires. I have used the outlets to power a speaker and IPOD for outdoor dance parties for hours. It is very rugged. Easy to use. About the only think I don't like is that it sits flat instead of upright so the handle is not located conveniently. I would recommend. After 3 years of heavy use the outlets just quit working this week and I am hoping there is a way to fix those. If not I will still replace with the same unit! Read more

Aug 30, 2017 UPDATE TO THE UPDATE: Imagine my surprise today when I opened the door & found on my porch another unit sent to me by Baccus Global! I hope this one works well. I am charging and will post another update in hopes that it will help someone else in their purchasing decisions. This is a different looking unit, but basically like the other ones. Service was better than I had thought, and now I hope this unit is better than the other two!!! I purchased this unit in Sept 2016 from Amazon. I charged it per the enclosed instructions. After using the unit one time for my husband's CPAP machine during a power outage, it would not recharge. There is no option to return it to Amazon even though there is a one year warranty on this unit. I called the manufacturer, and they want me to pay to ship it back to them to be repaired. I am thinking with the weight of this unit, it would cost a good bit to ship it. If it does the same thing again, after one usage, I would be throwing my good money after the bad. I am weighing my options. Has anyone else dealt with this issue on this product with the manufacturer or Amazon? August 29, 2017 Update:Ok here's the update. I spent the $46.00 for shipping back the bad product, got another one on July 29th- won't hold a charge for more than 2 days. So I called them back after trying the charging process a 2nd time, did the same thing. I was told I'd get a call back for a return shipping label since the product was bad (again) when I got it. Then nothing, so I called again on Aug 25th, was told the same thing. Still no call back and no return label. My warranty will expire on Sept 2nd. so I guess they are waiting me out. Read more

The unit is similar to the Black & Decker. My experiences with the B&D was excellent. My biggest surprise was that it arrived without a Power Cable which is an essential part of the whole system. Without charging, no power! Why save a $ 5.00-10.00 cable on a $ 150.00 unit. Then charge $ 160.00 and save us the troubles. Pretty stupid! Read more
