Great bottle - until you drop it

I got this bottle and for two months it was my favorite bottle. It looks good, fits handily in a cup holder, keeps very cold and the flip top makes it very handy to drink from. Unfortunately, the first time I dropped it the plastic hinges sheared off - making it useless. (While Stanley makes replacement lids for other products I can't find one for this). This is particularly disappointing as I bought Stanley (instead of, say, Yeti) because my father had a Stanley thermos that stood up to 40+ years on construction sites. It was dented from falls off of roofs and moving trucks, but worked great. If I could get a replacement lid, I would. But, it seems wasteful buy another bottle if it can't stand up to everyday use. So, I will look for something a little less disposable. UPDATE: I submitted a warranty claim and Stanley has sent me a replacement. So, I am adding a star for great customer service Read more
