It might be good for short durations of time and no wind at all blowing outside, I threw it away, the one side of the umbrella blew completely over to the other side and rendered it unusable. The rods in the umbrella need to be much much more sturdier. Bummer, I really thought this was the answer to shade my birdhouse in the extreme heat. I'll have to come up with another solution.
