This is perfect for getting the cup of coffee I need in the morning. The cup that came with it is fun and resilient, but it's tall enough to be able to use a larger cup as well. There is minimal water loss from steam, and the resulting coffee always tastes great. I use it between 3 and 5 times a day at work, depending on my caffeine needs, and it is consistent. First thing when buying any new coffee maker run one cycle of vinegar and water and 2 cycles of plain water. It makes sure the maker is clean and you get an excellent first cup of coffee. Second thing, this is only meant to make 1 cup of 8 to 12 oz coffee. If you want something that makes more this isn't it. Third thing, if you do need to make multiple cups be careful when opening the unit. It takes a minute for it to stop steaming after the first cup so it will spit steam. It's beautiful, makes a great cup of coffee. It's cute and convienent. It doesn't take up much more space than my mother and pestle. You can't go wrong with this. Read more

Great size when all you need each morning is one cup to get your day started. I bought this to use while house sitting for friends who don't drink coffee. I've prepped ahead each night (as of this review, I've had it for one week) and can just flip the switch when I walk in to the kitchen. This works great! It is easy to use, easy to clean, makes an excellent cup of coffee, and is the best looking coffee maker in the galaxy! However, the drawbacks are. 1. There is no automatic shut-off. I get extremely nervous when someone uses this, I'm afraid they will forget to turn it off. 2. The filter and filter holder have to be wiggled a little to make sure the funnel of the bigger part is where it should be, otherwise coffee will start pooring out on the sides. It usually goes right into place, but just double checking can prevent that from happening. I love the Star Wars theme. Great value for money, however, the cup fell and shattered the very next day I unpacked it, because I hut it by mistake and the cup slid off the base, as there is no groove to hold the cup on the base of the coffee maker, and I had to buy another Star Wars cup that was a bit big for the space, although it fit. Other than that, it's a nice addition to my Star Wars appliances. Read more

I've used this numerous times and it works great, I have no complaints. I use it for hot water in my tea. I wasn't going to use the cup because I like a bigger cup of Tea but 14oz is a nice size and I have been using it. I put my sugar and tea bag in the mug and the hot water goes in afterwards. I have a small table next to my chair and that's where I keep it. This was an excellent buy for under $14. Read more

Based on the price and the reviews, it seemed like a reasonable impulse purchase!
