My lab puppy absolutely loves this! And so do I. My 5 month old lab puppy loves to play with us and is not so good at playing by himself. Though he is getting a little better. I use this when we need to keep him occupied or when we need a little break. I bought this for him when we first got him at about 2 months old; even then he had no problems figuring it out. Depending on how much food I put in it, this will keep him busy for quite awhile. My puppy does not usually have much of an attention span, he is always jumping from one toy, bone, or chew to another. But with this I know I can consistently depend on him being entertained for at least 15 to 30 minutes, again, depending on how much food I put in there. "Bob" as we call him, is very well made. I purchased the large one and it holds about 2 cups of food. The yellow top screws off so that you can pour the food in, there is an adjustable opening so if you want to make it harder for your dog you can adjust it and he will have to work harder to get the food out. It screws on quite tight and has never come off while my dog is playing with it even when he carries it around by the top. There is another opening towards the bottom where the food comes out that is also adjustable depending on how easy you want it to be or how big the food is that you are using. Both openings are pretty large and I have never had an issue with putting things in there. I know some people use it to put their dog's food in, as my dog is self fed I have never done that. But I do use Cheerios and all kinds of other cereals and treats but mainly I use other "special" dog foods. I buy moist and dry dog foods that look like they may taste good and use them as treats. My dog thinks he is getting treats and never knows the difference, he loves them. It's healthier than feeding him lots of treats and also a lot cheaper. Using the "Bob" not only keeps him independently entertained but also helps to tire him out. It can be a bit loud as I have tile floors but it is not that bad. It is constructed extremely well. My pup plays very rough with it, he bats it around into walls, furniture etc., drops it down steps, it has taken a beating but it has stood up to my dog's abuse, where many of his other toys have not made it. It is very easy to clean. I plan on purchasing another one for my sister-in-law's pig. She is 70 pounds over weight and hates to move around but obviously loves food. I think that putting her food inside will be just the motivation she needs. And it is so well made that I don't have to worry about giving it to her! Read more

My dog thinks the Starmark Bob-A-Lot is the best thing since peanut butter. Honestly, I think she likes it more than me. She’ll happily bat this thing around the house like it owes her money, and it keeps her entertained (and out of my shoes) for a long time. The best part? You can put just about any treat inside—kibble, little biscuits, training snacks—and the adjustable openings let you decide how hard your pup has to work. It’s like a doggy version of “Survivor,” but with snacks at the end instead of tribal council. Durability? Top notch. My pup is basically a furry wrecking ball, and this toy has lived to tell the tale. Bonus points for making me laugh every time I watch her strategize like she’s solving a doggy Rubik’s Cube. If your dog gets bored easily, eats too fast, or just needs a fun challenge, this toy is a lifesaver. Seriously—buy it before your dog starts judging your lack of creativity. Read more

The media could not be loaded. I bought this to entertain my pot belly pig instead of nibbling the walls, picking on the dog, or clearing out the cabinets. I put her pellets in it and it helps prolong her mealtime. She figured it out the first time we tried it. It is super sturdy and won’t damage the hardwood floors any more than her pointy little hooves do. Read more

My wife works from home and our two large dogs occasionally get bored and want her attention. This sometimes occurs during conference calls or new client meetings, not ideal!! So I picked up a couple interactive dog toys and this was by far the best. You fill the top with kibble or treats, there are two adjustable openings for various sized treats, and they knock it around and eat the treats!! The plastic is thick and durable. The dogs love trying to get the kibble out and keeps them entertained. My biggest complaint is the internal adjustment will sometimes slide open or closed while the dogs are playing. If it closes, it cuts off their supply! Additionally, I couldn’t find the larger size so I think this is a medium?? I was concerned about the size because my dogs are big… Italian mastiff mix and Great Dane/Great Pyrenees mix. This one is fine and is holding up great so long as I don’t allow them to use it as a chew toy. Read more

The media could not be loaded. Great for mental stimulation. Extremely durable and dispenses treats perfectly. Keeps her entertained for a good 15-20 minutes. Unless you have a big dog, get the small one. Read more

I actually bought two of these as they seemed so durable. I have two large dogs that are aggressive chewers. The first one I bought I threw away as mold developed inside the toy and I could never get it clean enough for my liking. I guess the training treats I had been using were too moist. The green and purple sides are fixed together and don't unscrew for cleaning. Because my dogs liked it so much, I bought another one. This time I used a small piece of dry dogfood to prevent mold. They really like the toy but there are two problems. It is very heavy for a toy and when they drop it on your foot it doesn't feel great. The bigger issue is it has two little openings for the treats to dispense. One under the yellow screw-on cap and one in the middle of the ball. In order to accommodate larger treats both openings have a little slide at the opening so you can adjust how large an area you want available. My dogs can very quickly open the slide, so the treats just pour out with little to no effort. I now leave the yellow cap on so there is only one opening but the treats are gone in what seems like seconds. One of the dogs will continue to chew on it for a bit but overall, it is a 3-star toy. If they could make the sliding door much harder for the dog to fully open it would be a 4 or even 5-star toy. Read more

My dog adores this toy. Keeps him occupied and was very easy for him to learn. I use a small sized dog food in it as it dribbles out perfectly. 10/10 Read more
