I have a workstation set up for dual external displays. This little wizard has no trouble expanding the display of the laptop. It does get warm, some would say hot, but its not like it is threatening to catch fire or anything. No smell of hot plastic at all. It is very easy to use, is very easy to connect (assuming you have the right cables for the displays and a free USB port on the laptop). The laptop connects and expands the displays very quickly and I don't detect that there are any connectivity issues at all. The adapter is lightweight and takes up hardly any space in a bag. It does not need an external power sources, so this is a grab-and-go item. I would probably have one of these in my laptop bag if I still did travel work. Read more

Allowed me to connect two monitors that did not mirror original screen (three independent monitors). Did not work immediately when plugged in. After a few minutes it worked perfectly. I think the computer was downloading or enabling the software to make this adapter work. I didn’t have to download anything. Give it a few minutes and it should work. If not, restart your computer. No issues since. Advise you get new HDMI cables and avoid older cables. Read more
