I heard about this sweater from a magazine review and had to try it - and it's so soft! I have worn it almost every day when the weather calls for a cardigan. I got a size larger than I normally wear and that works for being casual but if you want a more fitted look order your usual size. It's held up remarkably well - I comb it to remove any pills. Again, it's super soft! It's thick enough to be toasty when required (and feel a bit more luxurious) and you will enjoy wearing it! It was suggested to me on the item page to order a size Large. After looking at the sizing, and reading reviews, I decided to purchase the size Medium. WAY TOO BIG. I had to roll up the sleeves THREE TIMES, and I'm 5'7 in my bare feet, with long arms! Further, the fabric is scratchy feeling and not soft. I own other cashmere sweaters from Lands' End, and JJill. This cardigan made by State Cashmere isn't cashmere, at least not 100%; I don't know what its actual wool content is, but it's NOT cashmere. Possibly it's a blend, but that's not good enough for the price point, and deceptive when the tag reads 100% cashmere, and the advertising up front states that it is. It was also extremely static-y when I pulled it out of the package, and extremely wrinkled with the cardboard filler piece almost bent in half, like someone else's return, haphazardly shoved back into the packaging bag. At least the tag was still intact on the sweater, on the inside back of the neck/shoulder area. Also, the top button on the crew neck placket wasn't sewn on straight and level with the rest of the cardigan buttons, so that it pulled and looked awful, not matching the otherwise straight line I got with the cardigan completely buttoned and closed. That button should have been caught by quality control, and resewn properly, unless it was a bigger issue of the buttonhole for it also not being placed and sewn properly. Additionally, didn't like the plastic buttons; these ones are huge in proportion to the photograph of this cardigan in the Bella Blue color (personally I prefer shell buttons on a cashmere cardigan, but these are really, REALLY big buttons). Please see photo while in the packaging for reference and then look at the cardigan in the display photo(s). Like another reviewer also stated, the blue color is very dull and unattractive in comparison to the display photos. Meh! For further reference on the sizing, I usually wear a size 6-8 or size Small/Small Tall, and have a very small frame at 105-108 lbs. In conclusion, for all of these reasons, I am returning this.
