Staub makes beautiful, sturdy and long lasting enameled cast iron cookware and bakeware. This roasting pan is larger than I anticipated. In the first picture I included a small jar with 2.5oz of vanilla powder to show the contrast between the glass jar and the pan. The pan measures about 18.5x 10.5 inches from handle to handle. I wrongly assumed they measured the 15x 10.5 taking the handles into consideration. Just be aware of how large and heavy this roasting pan is. To be honest, I almost returned this because of how large it is. However, I ended up keeping it because it looks so good! And it matches my other Staub. There are many applications for this pan. It can be used to roast an entire chicken or pot roast and probably a smaller turkey. It is that large. Definitely great for casseroles or any bread items. I can see lots of sourdough rolls in the future. It is also great on the stove as well so pancakes, eggs and toasting English muffins, etc. Probably good for tortilla making. However, what I didn't like is that it came with a chip in the corner and a little area of rust. And the underneath areas of the handles were rough, like they were not coated enough with the enamel. However, the chip and rust are at the edge so it shouldn't affect the way the pan performs. The handles are not as smooth as they should be, but that is fine. Delivery was a bit rough as my box was clearly not taken care of and looked like it was dropped or stomped on, so that was probably the reason for the chip. Read more

I love Staub and this pan does not disappoint! It bakes evenly and I love the crispy edges I get with Staub. I won't use another dish for baking mac n cheese or lasagna. I've also used it on the stove (2 burners) for bacon, etc. Read more

What's not to like about Staub? I have gone through so many aluminum, all-clad and calphalon roasting pans over the years (all of which were supposed to last a lifetime) that I finally decided to break down and buy something that actually will last. The downside is that this baker is heavy. But the upside of this pan is that it's heavy. I can't see this warping. It won't lose its' "last-forever" non-stick surface, or diamond hard coating (Calphalon), It won't turn a dusty gray with use. It wont' turn from a burnished gold to a nasty looking brownish aluminum. It's just a pan that you can use over and over and knowing Staub and my experience with Staub it will continue to look good doing it. And yes, it costs a lot. But, if I added up the cost of all those other pans I bought with the greatest of hopes and tossed, this is a far better value. My only regret is that I had discovered Staub years ago. Read more

Brutally simple. It has not a single unnecessary bell, element or whistle. All one piece - No handle rivets to collect dirt and grease. I hope the wonderful finish holds up, but do not doubt that it will. I can throw a cut onion and garlic cloves in with the chicken to roast and, after mashing them up in the gravy, I have no baked on gunk. It does take an extra ten or fifteen minutes to roast a chicken probably because there is a lot of iron to heat up. Read more

Amazing pan! Perfect for roasting and then making the sauce right in the pan from all the drippings. Old school perfection. Read more
