I’ve been eyeing a steam cleaner for months now. I specifically was debating on buying the little white box one all over tik tok. I decided to wait until Black Friday to make my final decision and I really wasn’t happy with the discount they were offering for it. I decided I was going to compare to other steamers on Amazon. AND BOY AM I GLAD I DID! This baby was WORTH IT! This WaitBird was nearly half off on Black Friday. It’s already $70 bucks cheaper than the white box brand at regular price. I was initially hesitant of buying the WaitBird because there wasn’t a bunch of video reviews on “clean-tok”. I’m sure there will be now! Let me set the scene for you. We just moved into an older and not remodeled home. We are planning to remodel sometime next year and didn’t want to spend a bunch of money quite yet. The prior owner had been developing dementia and owned some dogs. Well, they didn’t always make it outside to potty. Hence the hard to remove stains… We also have 3 dogs who have tracked in quite a bit of dirt and mud from outside. Our house came with a carpet shampooer and it has not done much to the stains or the dinginess in the carpets. So on to the actual review of the WaitBird! There are many attachments for the steamer. I have currently only used the floor attachment but can’t wait to use it on the old appliances and windows. The floor attachment can be used with any microfiber cloth but does come with 2 in the box. The clips on the floor attachment were fantastic. I was afraid they would fall off but nope! The cloth stayed on the entire time! I did cleaned the 3 of the dirtiest carpeted rooms in our house (~1,000 sq ft) in 6 hours. I did put some hard work into the floors and was not an easy chore. I also cleaned the parquet in the hallway which it did fantastic on. I probably filled up the tank 10-12 times. I had the steam on the highest setting and it ran about 30 to 35 mins each time. It only took 5 mins to warm up each time and I wish it took longer as that’s when I took my “union breaks”. The unit itself is compact and easy to store! It is lightweight and easy to maneuver. I find the look of it to be retro and simply adorable. Yellow is not my favorite color; however, we decided to name ours Sunshine for fun :) Overall, definitely worth the money! I don’t believe it was made to be professional grade but it does the Lord’s work. We plan to use it on the old appliances left with the house, the windows, and I read that it could possibly help with removing the ungodly amount of wallpaper in the house! I also read that steamers are better to use when sterilizing than using chemicals (aka kids school germs). I’ll update as I use on more things. Enjoy the before and after pictures. It came with all the attachments and was fast to heat up. The only issue is the small plastic brush bristles will melt. I saw them starting to morph so I did short bursts of steam in order to save the life of them. The directions say the fill capacity is 1100mL but I believe it's a little less. It comes with a fill cup at 400mL max. So I filled it to 300mL 3 times too equal a total of 900mL so that I would be safe. It over flowed. Now, I cleaned up the mess ensuring no water was anywhere else. Make sure you screw the cap on extra tight but not to brake! I chose the small head attachment and attached the small plastic brush to that. I plugged it in and flipped the switch on. It took about 5 minutes to heat up and then the light turned green. Now, since the tank was over filled the nozzle sprayed out a lot of water. But after that it worked properly. I feel it is powerful. On the handle there is a dial you can turn to min or max or in between. I had it on minimum at first then turned it up a little. I used it on my couch and after scrubbing spoiled areas, I wiped it with a white rag. So many dark stains came out. I was so happy and amazed. The photos are from after the couch dried the next morning. That was to make sure I got a precise picture since the couch was darker when damp. The price is lower now, so they raised their price by about $25 for prime day so don't wait until a sales day to purchase. I would buy now. It's a great little machine. Oh. And I used distilled water so there wouldn't be calcification build up and clogs. I would absolutely recommend this product even after only using one attachment. Now I know it will work in my shower and kitchen floors! The couch was the only thing I was concerned since it's delicate material. So, I recommend. It's small and won't be in the way. Easy to use. Just use short bursts of steam with the plastic brushes so they don't melt. Read more
