There was only 2 slight negatives. First, its that there was nothing in the manual (atleast i didnt see) how to open the lighter out of the box lol.. I tried pulling it (which felt like it could have broken it), I tried the ignition button, and i tried seeing if theres a way you can turn the gears to unlock it. I was thinking it was broken shut. But in the end, you just have to loosen the ignition button slightly. Idk if they all come locked, but ya, you just have to turn it slightly, and then when you press the button, it will open and ignite automatically. I like using them one handed, so that's really good for me. I bought a diffrent brand that almost looks exactly the same, but it works like a zippo for 80$ cheaper. But i like this one better. I just wish it was a bit cheaper. But this one definitely feels better quality and ignites essier.. The second thing is that i feel a little bit tricked lol. I thought that there was only a few left, so I bought it quickly thinking they are limited in that color. But they restocked quickly lol. Allot of amazon sellers do that as a sales tactic. They make you think that it's your only chance to buy it, and if you want one, you have to buy it fast before someone else buys it. I feel like you can write both these things off as me just being dumb, but youd be surprised how common it is lol. The build quality is unexpectedly good. It feels sturdy for all the little gears attached. It just sometimes gets stuck if you spin the gears around. But its not a big deal. The ignition is easy. And thats the main good thing for me. I dislike zippos more than BIC or other cheap lighters cuz you have to put more effort into igniting with one hand. Its Not exactly hard, but you just have to adjust and press down harder. This one you can press the button quickly, no matter what the position. So I love it. I dont expect it to survive large falls onto concrete. But with this specific design, I just wanted it to ignite easily and FEEL good quality. The gears moving was the selling point for me. I buy these things as "functional art" and its a big plus when its easy or quick to use and feels sturdy. It might not like I said, it might not survive a 5 foot drop, but atleast it feels sturdy and good quality. I didnt expect it with all of the small gears. So overall, its better than expected. But it should be, because of the price lol. I feel like it could've been 50 dollars less. But its all good as long as it functions smoothly and lasts a long time. if it withstands the abuse with time, I would say this is perfect for the price. But I will have to see.
