Awesome mouse.

Slapβ€”April 6, 2025

It has been ~6 months since I purchased this mouse and love it. I initially had problems with short battery life and I don't know if anyone else has experienced this but... The short battery life seemed to be due to connecting the included USB C dongle to a USB C port. It could be a driver issue that kept waking up the mouse but I don't know. I saw other reviews complaining about the short battery life or in accurate advertised life. What I do know is that a USB C to A adapter made my problem disappear and now I go about 2 weeks without charging. My son didn't complain about the battery life but I moved him to the same adapter. I initially charged every 2-3 days as the mouse would die. I loved the mouse and didn't want to give up. My son and I both have this mouse but different colors. I'm right handed and he is left but both use the mouse with the right hand. No complaints from either of us. My son heavily games and I play casually. We play with different mouse sensitivities and no complaints on the low or high end of it. Pros -Light weight -Comfortable in my hand -Responsive -Customization in App Cons -Wish the app was straight to the point instead of a store. -USB C dongle caused short battery life (maybe?) I'd buy a third or fourth if the wife and daughter cared about having a good mouse. Read more

love this mouse

Andrew E.β€”December 18, 2025

This is one of the best moues I have ever owned. The Aerox 3 has tons of customizable options between the RGB mode, the sensitivity and the steel series app is amazing also. The buttons are smooth and the clicking is satisfying. This mouse responds immediately and the battery last a long time. I definitely recommend this mouse and it's worth the price. Read more

Really fun mouse.

Benβ€”February 15, 2025

I had to get used to the smaller size having come from a large razer deathadder essential mouse, but it's very nice and lightweight, it did take me a little bit to figure out how the dongle worked but once I figured it out it works creat, the wheel is responsive, has a fairly decent battery life before you have to charge again. Great value if you can get it on sale like I did. Feels great if you get used to it being a smaller mouse. Read more

Quickly became my daily driver

Carl Brutananadilewskiβ€”September 27, 2022

I work remotely and play games in my off time, so I spend a lot of time using a mouse, obviously. I've had the Aerox 3 wireless in white for almost 4 months now, and it became my daily the first day I got it. I enjoy trying out different pc peripherals for my setup when I can, my mouse being the most common change, so I've actually tried quite a few gaming mice at this point. The search for a new mouse has all but stopped since I bought this one. It's not the holy grail or anything but it's everything I want and need in a mouse, gaming or otherwise. It's super super lightweight, slim and not too tall while not feeling like a mini version, and no crazy extra buttons just the two on the side which is all I need for my gaming. The holes/pattern are nice/not too rough as well, though not something I was looking for one way or the other. The sensor feels awesome in game, on par with any other top fps mouse out there, and I've had zero connectivity problems at all. The software (steelseries GG) for controlling rgb, changing dpi etc. is pretty good, no complaints (Some kind of software is essentially necessary for all the top "gaming" mice at this point anyway). I do turn the rgb fully off though so I can't exactly speak for that. The battery life is fantastic, probably better for me personally since I do turn off the rgb. I charge it about once a week and that's usually only when I see the battery bar go from 3/3 to 2/3, never had the battery die on me. USB-C cable to charge is also fantastic, enough said there. Scroll wheel has a nice rubber texture and good bumpy feel when scrolling, & it's easy to feel the individual bumps if you need to in game. I think that covers literally everything on this mouse (didn't say dpi button because it's deactivated on every mouse I own). I got this on sale for $70ish (I think), pretty sure it retails for $99, which is fine. If you want a budget mouse you'll get one. This is on the lower end of prices for the top wireless fps mice, which this mouse is one of. AND it comes in white, which is a deal breaker for me nowadays, I'd recommend this mouse to any gamer 10/10. Read more

Disappointing reliability; excellent battery life.

Daniel Salasβ€”October 2, 2022

There are reasons I don't buy wireless mouse anymore. Those reasons are always "reliability" and "battery life". Will it stay connected and reconnect when I need it to? Will the battery last enough every day that it won't interrupt my sessions on my computer? These things are KEY. Whether or not the mouse is a good gaming mouse is ultimately up to the user, some prefer a heavier mouse, bigger mouse, lighter mouse etc. What I can tell you about the SteelSeries Aerox 3 Wireless is that it fulfills only one of the key essentials, that being battery life. I never needed to stop playing to recharge the thing and that was cool. Even then you could charge it while using it if really necessary. But ultimately, it did not fulfill the other key essential. It would randomly start disconnecting and stay disconnected. I turned it off, reconnected the dongle, turned my computer off. I did everything I could to troubleshoot this but then I realized I shouldn't be going through so much trouble just to get this darn thing working right. This was THREE days into having this mouse mind you. Overall, if you're looking for a budget wireless gaming mouse, this might be for you if you don't mind the hassle of the connection issue. This mouse is actually very light and is considerably smaller than most mice I've had. I would probably spend the extra 50bucks for a better mouse like the Logitech G Pro X Superlight. I just don't think I can trust wireless mouse for good while again though after this one. Read more
