My husband commented on how quiet it was. I stopped to listen and he was right. I love the way it can be started slowly and then move the speed up. Bit of a learning curve on the buttons. It is a bit heavy but well balanced. You can set it down without it falling over. I have not run it for five minutes, so it hasn't shut down on me. I always read reviews the good the bad the miserable folks who like to complain. This blender besides being my favorite color is great. It's quiet. Light and mixes well. Does not sit very tall, so you cannot set it on the bowl. It has a five minute max mixing time. And the beaters came apart upon the fist mix. Do not recommend for serious bakers. Read more

I ordered this because it said it had a heavy duty motor. I wanted a hand held mixer that could handle heavy cookie batter. I like the many speeds and that I can use it on a slow speed in order to not have flour fly everywhere while being added. I also really like the fact that I can stand it on end and it will sit securely . All other hand mixers have had to be laid on their sides when scraping the bowl. So far it has handled all the cookie doughs that I have made. On the negative side, the motor gets quite warm with use; the beaters are very light weight and seem short, 5 1/8 inches from connecting point to bottom of beater. This makes it difficult to mix in a deep bowl. The cord is also very short, which can be a problem at times. The mixer weights 1 3/4 pounds. Would I purchase it again? I don't know. I will wait until after I use it a few more times to decide that question. Read more
