First of all I'd love to meet the 8 year old that can do this, they deserve to be at NASA. If this is 8+ then I'm an Olympic figure skater. Secondly the gear box is too small, so when you actually assemble it the gears won't turn unless you find a way to loosen the plastic casing which makes it useless when you try to build a bot (because the frame squeezes the original gear box thus making it not turn/work. Totally useless, also I couldn't help but notice that none of the positive reviews (except the ones that got a free kit) actually said they had succeed in assembling this and making it work. This solar robot kit is a fantastic hands-on learning activity that keeps kids engaged while teaching valuable STEM concepts. Here are some highlights from our experience: Great Learning Tool: It introduces children to the basics of robotics, solar energy, and mechanical engineering in a fun and interactive way. Clear Instructions: The assembly guide is well-illustrated and easy to follow, making it accessible even for beginners. Versatile Builds: With 12 different robot configurations, it offers hours of creative play and learning. Safe and Durable Materials: The parts are made from high-quality, non-toxic plastic that holds up well through repeated use. Encourages Problem-Solving: Kids learn to troubleshoot and think critically as they build and rebuild different models. Room for Improvement: Some parts are quite small, which can be tricky for younger kids. Slightly larger components would enhance usability. Overall, this is a well-designed, educational toy that makes learning science and engineering exciting. Highly recommended for kids aged 8 and up! Read more
