We just went through the coldest days in many years, reaching -17 with wind chills in the -40+ range, and the mittens were almost too warm! I read a review on another site that said "I just received the mittens and they don't appear to be very warm, very disappointed", don't look at mittens to determine if they're warm, USE the mittens to find out if they're warm!!!!!
