Sleek and modern design, but overall not ideal

I clearly did not read the description when I ordered this car mount. You MUST use the magnet that comes in the package; without it, the car mount will not hold anything: nothing, nada, zip. That was disappointing, but if I had paid better attention to the details about this device, I would have known this and probably would have passed on it. What's the point of having MagSafe if you need to add another magnet to use a magnetic device? Aside from this issue, the mount is fairly sleek and has a very low profile. Definitely a plus. I like that it fits snugly on the vent, and its grip is quite impressive. However, I'm not convinced that a larger phone would survive on rough roads; you might find yourself picking it up off the floor several times during your trip. Overall, the mount is small, and even with the included magnet for attaching to your phone or case, it still doesn't provide a strong hold. In summary, I recommend looking for a MagSafe device if you have a phone with MagSafe capabilities. If you don't, I suggest using a small phone with a lightweight case, or better yet, no case at all.
