I recently received these "Suds Lab Premium Microfiber Towels for Car Detailing, Cleaning, Washing, Polishing - 16"x16" Ultra-Soft, Scratch-Free Cloth, Dual-Weave with Silk Edges, Pack of 12" and I'm so happy to have these in the car cleaning tool kit. These towels are soft, thick, and absorbent. They aren't the thickest I've used, but they are thicker than my "basic" microfiber cleaning cloths I use for general housecleaning - the ones I DON'T want to use on the new car because I don't trust that they won't scratch it. These towels are kind of amazing because they are SO absorbent. Based on the thickness of the first one I grabbed out of the pack, I expected it to be a LITTLE more absorbent than my normal, basic quality, microfiber cloths. I was mistaken. These must be at least 3-4x more absorbent, but that's just a guess. The fronts and backs are different, too - one side has longer looking fibers than the other side, and I assume this helps with the absorbency but I don't know for certain. Oh, and as much as I dislike the color generally, I'm actually glad these are dayglow orange - helps keep me from using my "car towels" for anything but cleaning the car. It was fun washing and drying my car using only one towel this weekend, though I did have to pause to wring it out a few times along the way. And yes, it would have been faster for me to use 3-4 towels but I wanted to see how effective they are, lol! So far I've seen no scratches and no dirt left behind, so you won't hear any complaints from me! Happy to recommend. Read more

The media could not be loaded. Initial Unboxing: The product comes in a plastic packaging that includes some information about the microfiber towels and a hole that you can use to feel the texture of the microfiber towels. This should include 12 microfiber towels, but for some reason, mine came with an extra towels which is 13 towels. So I hope Suds Lab does make sure they check on how many towels they ship before sending them to people. Using the Product: I like to wash any microfiber towels before using on my cars. Use a liquid laundry detergent with no dyes or scents, as well as no fabric softeners. After washing them, dry them in a dryer on the tumble dry setting on the lowest heat possible for about 30 minutes to an hour. I haven't used them on anything else beside the exterior, but this should provide a good baseline on how well it performs. I sprayed on my quick detailer and evenly wiped it along the paint. It felt all pretty smooth and didn't flop over when moving it around. The towel feels quite soft. Although not as thick as some other microfiber towels, I'd say they are reasonably thick and much better compared to the cheap microfiber towels used for mostly household purposes. It is a good value compared to some of the more popular automotive detailing brands for the quality it provides. It gives a perfect blend of quality and price. It is of course, not as cheap as your Walmart microfiber towels, but I would get this over those towels just because of the quality. Pro Highlights: - Good value - Quite soft - Doesn't flop over when wiping - Reasonably thick - Versatile - Doesn't scratch paint - Streak-free Con Highlights: - No variation of colors for different applications General Overview: These are very versatile microfiber towels that blends the value of good quality, reasonable price, and great performance all into one! I'll start this review with a pet peeve...lack of information. Since these towels are "Crafted for car enthusiasts and professionals...", Sub Labs needs to do a better job. Especially for towels that are intended to come into contact with my vehicles' paint, I want to know a lot about them. Typically that would include the following (and whether or not that info is supplied): Weight of material in GSM (grams per square meter: 400 GSM Composition of fabric, polyester to polyamide percentages: ?? (This one is particularly important to me) Edgeless or bound edges (if bound, with what): Packaging and photo: Edgeless. Title and description: Silk banded Construction (Twisted loop, waffle weave, etc): Dual nap long one side, short on reverse. Country of manufacture of the material (typically Korea or China, Korea produces better): ?? I like the packaging these come in and the color. I pointed out the discrepancy about the edge construction above. Mine are edgeless, but the edges are stiff and a bit scratchy. I'm not sure if the edges were cut ultrasonically or heat sealed, but that stiffness will keep them from being used on my paint....interior or trim use only. I would prefer silk banded to the way these edges are finished. These did well in the washer with very little color bleed and and no perceptible linting. All in all, I like these towels. I wish Suds Lab would include more information about them, correct the edge construction listing discrepancy and arrange for the edges to be finished better. Read more
