How to Use the Cleaner (The 5-Piece Process) The success of the kit lies in using the pieces in the right order. Here is the step-by-step process I used, focusing on the liquid cleaner: Prep and Erase: Start by taking the Suede Brush and gently brushing the entire surface to lift any loose dust and dirt. For any small scuffs or stubborn dry marks, use the Eraser Clean block and rub lightly—it works like magic on minor imperfections! Also look for Kiwi Suede Eraser for more dirty stains/spots. Apply the Cleaner: Do not apply the liquid Cleaner directly to the material. Instead, apply a small amount onto the Microfiber Cloth (or directly onto the suede brush bristles). Clean the Surface: Work the product into the nubuck or suede using gentle, circular motions. It’s important to clean the entire item evenly, not just the stain, to avoid water rings or uneven patches. Wipe & Dry: Use a fresh, clean section of the Microfiber Cloth to blot or gently wipe away any excess cleaner and lifted dirt. Then, allow the item to air dry completely, away from direct sunlight or heat. Patience is key here! Restore the Nap & Protect: Once the item is fully dry, take the Suede Brush again and gently brush the surface to fluff up the texture (the nap) of the nubuck. What a great product!! Everyone should own one of these to keep their expensive suede items clean, fresh and waterproofed. I really believe in taking good care of leather items, my pet peeve is folks who don't care what their shoes and boots look like. I know it can be fashionable to wear " beat-up" boots to look cool. While I do have my own pair of "beater boots", I take good care of my other genuine leather articles. Genuine leather is getting more expensive by the day, this kit is what you need to look good. This kit has basically everything you need to take care of purses, shoes and even sheepskin boots (Uggs) that everyone wears now. That is what I chose this kit to do for me. The kit contains a suede brush to clean off loose dirt, and an eraser to help with the tough stains. Inside is also a Suede Cleaner product as well as a suede protectant to protect suede against snow, rain, dirt and stains. Also included is a napped microfiber cloth to assist with cleaning. It couldn't be more easy !! Simple directions are on the back of each product to tell you how to use it. One issue I had when using the protectant is to spray in a "back and forth motion" as stated on the back of the product. Well, the protectant is a pump spray which I found sort of difficult to use as directed. Otherwise, everything is simple and easy to use. I feel the price is really reasonable considering having to replace a suede item with another genuine leather article at today's prices. This cleaning/protection kit doesn't really do what it says. The cleaning foam did not remove a very minor stain from a pair of boots. It was small and not a very deeply set stain, yet there's still a ghost of that stain remaining on the boot. I even did a couple of passes with the cleaner and it still did not work. I've not tried out the protecting spray because, quite frankly, I don't have the time to wait the 24 hours it instructs you to allow the shoe/boot to dry. It's easy enough to use all the products in the kit, but the things I've used just weren't up to my expectations. At the price point, I would not buy this product. I'd look for something about half this price, or something that will get your items clean. Read more
