Customers say
Customers find these LED bulbs provide perfect brightness, with one noting they're low enough for nighttime use, and appreciate their functionality, with one mentioning they work better than incandescent or halogens.

work well. much better than 40 w. I need a lighter light by my bedside table Read more
These are good lights at a good price. It does seem a little whiter than 3000, but it's close. Specs say that it is dimmable and illuminates from 10-100%. Maybe it is just my dimmer switch, but these dim all the way to 0. There is no flicker and no buzz. No complaints. Read more
Buying lightbulbs didn't used to be so difficult! And the big box stores always seems to be out of the color and wattage I want. I had to search high and low to find a low wattage bulb that wasn't to white or too yellow. Love this brand, and all the versatility they offer. We moved into a new home that had 13 watt 5000K daylight bulbs in every room, including fan fixtures with 4 bulbs. We had survived for a few weeks by removing all but a single bulb. But it still made my eyes hurt and I'd see spots after accidentally glancing at the bulb. I prefer 3000K-4000k color bulbs. They're better for night time use and dont bleach the color from the room or make too yellow. These 3 watt 3000k bulbs are perfect for the four bulb cluster in the bedroom. Enough light to see better during the day, and still low enough to use at night. For my kids we actually use red light at bedtime, so I try to not put daylight bulbs in the bedroom. They were not bright enough to use in the kitchen or entry which have a single bulb. I think a 7 or 9 watt bulb should suffice. I did try them in my bath bar, and they were rather dim and "yellow". I would ideally pick a 4000k 3-7 watt bulb for a bathroom light bar. (Or even better install a dimmer switch and dimmable LED's). I have noticed that lower wattage tend to be more yellow regardless of temperature. I've already purchased my second box to finish the bedrooms. And will probably buy a box of 4000k for the vanity. Used these to tone down my orange oak cabinets. They definitely made a difference! Read more
I collect Fenton Art Glass lamps and like to use led bulbs in them. However since I often have two or three lamps displayed together 60 watt equivalent bulbs were much too bright. Now I buy these which are supposed to be the equivalent of 25 watt bulbs. When I cluster three matching lamps together with these lower wattage bulbs you can see the details of the lamps but not feel like you’re bringing a plane in for a landing. Read more
This was the answer to a specific lighting challenge. I hung a beautiful capiz fixture in my kitchen to replace an ugly fluorescent one. I wanted a soft glowing effect that seemed like the light came from the capiz, not from obvious bulbs. I tried edison led bulbs - too bright. 40 watt equiv leds were also too bright. Small appliance-size (Sputnik) bulbs gave exactly the subtle effect I wanted, but they threw too many shadows from deep inside the fixture. In the end, these were the best. 5 bulbs gave me 125 watt equivalent total, which doesn't distract the eye from below. I can't say enough good things about 3000k temperature. No matter the manufacturer, it always gives good broad spectrum light. I don't know why some call it warm white. The best description is "clean white." It has no ugly fluorescent cast to it; it is the closest possible to natural light. The term "daylight" in even a 4000k bulb is absurd. That high a kelvin rating looks fluorescent. Period. This bulb is also 90+ CRI, the second imperative stat to look for. It ensures the colors in the room are undistorted by warm or cool temps of the bulb. The Sunco Lighting site is informative. I ordered here because of return policy. The only negative is that I didn't want 10 bulbs, but it became my Final Answer. I'd prefer to purchase from an American manufacturer that (I hope) will still be around a few years from now. And the effect is exquisite. I recommend these highly for any soft lighting application. UPDATE: I now also look for "lumens" when comparing light bulb purchase options. E.g. several bulbs might say "60 watt equivalent," but one might say 750 lumens and another says 800 lumens. I'll always choose the brighter option. ...And I recently read on a 3000k package: "neutral" warm white, as if someone is getting the message that 3000k is not in the warm OR cool end of the spectrum.
