It also feels sturdy—no wobbling, and the base is stable. The included 9W bulb is plenty bright, and the best feature is the 0–100% dimming. I can make it bright enough to read/work, then dial it down for a cozy evening vibe. The adjustable head is also super useful since I can aim the light exactly where I want it (couch corner, desk, or across the room). Arrived right on time and I had it fully assembled in just 20 minutes. Assembly was super simple—screw the post together, tighten the wire, attach to the base, and pop on the shade. Couldn’t be easier! The post screws together tightly, feels sturdy, and definitely isn’t flimsy. The base is surprisingly heavy (a good thing!), which gives me peace of mind since I have two rowdy 70+ lb dogs who won’t be knocking it over easily. The dimmer works beautifully, and at its brightest setting it gives off plenty of light for the space. The color is neutral and the base, while not the heaviest, is sturdy enough to have in a corner or behind a chair. I did have to assemble it from the top to the base as there was so much extra cord that needed to be pulled through to the base. Great height to fit behind a chair and the ability to rotate the lampshade is great. The dimmer feature is easy to reach and works well. My biggest complaint is the shade. It comes rolled up and is certainly easy enough to install, but the entire top of the shade is "buckled". The base of the shade is OK, but it's as if the top wasn't glued together properly. It is unsightly, but I'm not about to repackage the lamp, return it, and hope to get one with a better lampshade. Update: I contacted the company directly and they have offered to send me a replacement shade. Very pleased with the customer service. Read more
