These glasses are similar to others in their optical qualities, and they do have the very helpful property of reducing the stark appearance of headlights, especially those with a bluish cast, to a softer, warmer, easier to look at appearance. Also, being tinted, these do somewhat reduce glare, and they also open shadows to easier visual penetration. The thing that we like most about the build of these glasses is that they actually do fit comfortably over other glasses, in addition to being comfortable if they are worn without other glasses. The frame gives enough space for other glasses to fit within, and very importantly the nosepieces are small in size, not creating a collision with the primary glasses, as we have experienced with several other models that are supposed to work well over other glasses. This particular frame design is "the one" that we find to work best for people who want to put lenses like these in front of glasses that they already wear. Regarding construction, these glasses are plastic, seeming probably to be polycarbonate, which is pretty tough. The hinges are plastic, rotating over a steel core. I’ve had a lot of trouble with glare while driving at night, especially with so many cars now using bright halogen or LED headlights. These glasses have made a noticeable difference! This is a nice product that does what it says it does. It fits over my existing glasses without a problem, and are comfortable. It comes with a nice cloth storage bag. They really do help with glare in my situation at least. Now that fall/winter is here my evening commute is in the dark where everyone has their headlights on. Many of these oncoming cars have their brights on because they don't pay attention to what they're doing, and those lights are absolutely blinding, especially when sitting in stand-still traffic. I ordered the Sunglasses for daytime version (not the night vision version) and these are very good shades. They are a bit large for my head (I'm 5'4"), but they still feel comfortable wearing them. I am very impressed with them as they block sunlight and daytime glare very well and I can tell they have UV blockage as well as you can feel the drop in sun heat on your eyes. They are very solid glasses. No flimsy cheapy feel to them. Well worth the price and then some. Read more
