I purchased this for my 92 year old mother, it works well for her. She is very hard of hearing in one ear, which often makes it difficult to carry on a conversation without having to raise your voice in order for her to hear. When wearing the headphones I can talk in a normal voice and she is able to hear, and understand, everything I'm saying. I also make sure to bring it to all of her doctor appointments so that she can hear the questions the doctors and nurses ask, and hear what the doctor says.
