This scooter is great for mobility. We have now purchased two of these for my husband. The new one has one bummer, in that they slowed down the reverse so much that it can’t reverse over small bumps without assist from another person or your legs— this includes an elevator entry and a door threshold. The first one we had did this with ease. Overall here are the pros/cons: Pros: -Light weight -forward goes a little faster than average walking pace, so no worries about keeping up -seat comes off easily to lighten the unit when putting in the car -The batteries last a LONG time. We can go out all day to a walking event (farmers market, etc.) with the two batteries that come with it without a concern. -You can buy a cushier seat for it, but it does make it heavier. -Game changer if your mobility is limited… you get to participate with your friends/family for walking events in community. Spouse was resistant to trying it and it has been so amazing for social opportunities and exploration. -brakes can be tightened -people are so helpful when they see you in a scooter in the community, many are so willing to help out. Cons: -Folding is almost impossible as the clasp that releases it is too difficult to open without some kind of tool, even for an able bodied person. -as mentioned reverse is now so slow it is not very functional and doesn’t give the power to go over small bumps like an elevator threshold -The controls can be damaged by rain. Living in Seattle this is a tough one. We carry an umbrella and a clear plastic bag in the basket to protect controls just in case we get caught out in the rain. -Wheels are small and don’t do well on bumpy terrain like cobblestones, gravel, or grass -there don’t seem to be any replacement parts except for the seat (would love if replacement wheels, brakes, and controls were available) Read more

What a great product, truly remarkable. My girlfriend has mobility issues due to a serious car accident over a year ago. We love to travel and especially love cruises. Unfortunately, a few months ago we took a cruise and discovered that due to her mobility issues we were unable to enjoy the cruise as we had in the past. We booked another cruise in July on Norwegian heading North out of Baltimore. We looked into renting a scooter but discovered it was going to cost $400.00/ week for a rental. Consequently, we started looking into buying our own. After much research and reviews we felt the SuperHandy would easily meet our needs and our pocketbook. We ordered one and were pleasantly surprised at how quickly we received it and how easy it was to assemble. We left for our cruise on 9/1/2023. Due to its size, weight and portability were we able to use Uber to the port. My girlfriend was able to ride on her SuperHandy from the Uber drop off, through check-in and right to our cabin. Due to its size, we were able to park it in our somewhat small cabin right in front of the small sofa. SuperHandy permitted my girlfriend to go anywhere and everywhere on the ship. While in port she was able to transport all over. We did 10 miles in Boston she on SuperHandy and me walking. Her battery went red just has we got back to the cruise terminal. Also, 2 of our ports were tendered (boat from anchored Cruise ship to port). Due to its size and weight, she was able to go and enjoy these ports. Many of those on larger and heavier scooters were not. We flew home and consequently we again were able to Uber to the airport and home. My girlfriend was able to ride her SuperHandy right down the jet way where she removed the battery and they then took it and put it on the plane. When we landed, they put it back on the jet-way for her and she rode up the jet-way and out to the Uber pick-up location. Overall, she was able to go just about anywhere. Occasionally, she would encounter a curb that was a bit high or had a wide gap. In these incidences It was easy for me to pick up SuperHandy and move it over these spots. So many on the ship made inquirers about this great little mobility scooter. We were happy to tell them all about it. This truly is a win- win for most who have mobility issues. Great Product at an even greater price. Read more

I don't write a lot of reviews, but feel compelled with this item after unboxing and testing out. We decided to purchase a scooter to share on an upcoming cruise as we each have health issues limiting our walking distances. I appreciated the care and design of the shipping box. It held everything in place and protected against normal package dings without overusing packing materials. The instructions were clear and easy to understand. Initial assembly was a breeze, and even with a partially charged battery, I was scooting around the house and patio. It even climbed our steeper-than-ADA ramp in the backyard to the alley. I will try to remember to add to this review after the cruise, but I feel quite comfortable in taking this scooter on the trip. It folds down nicely and is light enough for either of us to carry. If we need to park it, we will just opo the battery out. Read more

Love this! Have MS, which only affects my lower extremities and my ability to walk. I wanted a lightweight scooter that was not that expensive that I could lift and pull in and out of my car. This fit the bill perfectly! My car and watch the price. I bought it when it was 40% off, but it would’ve been worth it at full price. It is easy to maneuver. You need to be careful of going too fast and turning with a narrow front base and I don’t care for it on bumpy surfaces but it does ride over them. Battery lasted for more time than I expected. I bought the back up battery but literally never needed to use it anytime I went out. I’m able to check it at the gate at the airport and get it back. The brake doesn’t hold as well as I wish it would but other than that, it is fantastic for the price! Read more
