I think that most experienced Amazon shoppers look at a customer product review with some degree of skepticism. One of the reasons for this is because there is the inevitable suspicion that a reviewer giving a positive review may be representing the seller, either directly or indirectly. I am not. My only purpose in writing this review is to provide useful information to other buyers. So, with that thought in mind and to enhance the credibility of my following positive review, I will say simply that if you want to test to determine if the product works well for you, purchase the smaller of the two sizes initially. In that way, you can find your answer with minimal investment. If you are as pleased with it as I am, then you can purchase the larger size. Now for the details of my experience. I started looking for an alternative to my underarm deodorant, not because I have an odor or excessive perspiration problem, but because I found that my recent deodorants tended to fade in effectiveness in less than 24 hrs. I could have chosen another off-the-shelf deodorant containing a more powerful fragrance, but I didn't do that for two reasons. First, I am not a fan of masking odors with fragrance. I would prefer to eliminate the source. Secondly, my wife is very sensitive to strong fragrances. I reviewed several options and ultimately chose Surface Deep Anti-Odorant Spray because it looked promising. I waited for what I thought was a reasonable amount of time to evaluate the product before submitting my review - good or bad. My results have been excellent. I have not used any deodorant, except Surface Deep Spray, for well over a week and have not detected any objectionable body odor. In general, I followed the usage instructions in the description on Amazon. In the instructions, the user is encouraged to experiment and use the method that works best for you. The major deviation from the instructions that I made was this. The instructions state, spray a few “spritz” under each arm and then pat the underarm area dry. I Spray 3 or 4 light sprays under each arm but, instead of patting dry, I lower both my arms for approximately 30 to 60 seconds so that the spray, in its liquid form, can do its job. Then I raise my arms and allow it to dry by evaporation. My thought is that, in doing so, I maximize the benefit. I don't know if this makes a difference, but it works well for me. I probably will also use a small amount of a subtle cologne from time to time, depending on the occasion, but it appears that this product is more than adequate for daily use. You should be aware that the overspray that lingers in the air after application is mildly irritating if you inhale it. So, avoid doing that. However, it dissipates rather rapidly. Whether your experience is as positive as mine, I can't guarantee. Body chemistry is different for different individuals, of course, but I believe this product is worth a try. Such a great product! I love the spray aspect because it feels like it dries quickly. I’ve been using it for about two weeks now and I don’t smell! I’ve worn it hiking, I’ve worn it while running around playing with my kids, and at the end of the day, I have no odor. As well, I had a problem with my order and their customer service team was one of the best I’ve interacted with. This works so well. I spent something like 15 years trying out different deodorants because nothing would work on me for more than a few weeks and despite scrubbing in the shower, I never could get rid of 100% of the smell. I used this and the shower gel and am almost always smell free. If I find myself getting smelly, I can respray and the smell is usually completely gone within about 20 minutes. The downsides are: it stings if you use it shortly after shaving, it has a surprisingly bad smell when you first spray it (it wears off), and it doesn’t add any slipperyness to the armpit so the skin can drag against each other. This product is literally life changing if you struggle with body odor. I have tried all the natural deodorants (Lume, Curie, Native, etc) after detoxing from aluminum based deodorants several years ago, but lately they just haven’t been cutting it. I usually don’t write review of any product.. but this deodorant is really amazing. Me and my 5yr old struggle with BO. We have tried n number of products but nothing has worked. Either other products leave residue, smell funky after sometime or works for few days and then back to bad odor. We have been using this product for couple of weeks now and it absolutely works.. though it has slight minty smell not strong or bad and definitely lasts for 24 hrs. I had bought the surface deep pads and they were OK.. not great, but ok. Problem (well, one problem) was two of the foil packages were empty and one had 2 pads in it, there was no quality control. So, when the spray was available again I figured i would try that. THEY ARE NOT THE SAME. That, or they changed the product between me buying one and the other (2 or 3 months maybe?). The first time I used this I ended up with red welts under my arms. It was incredibly itchy and painful. Thinking, maybe it was my fault? Maybe I didn’t wash the other deodorant off well enough first? Idk- it’s the same product why would I have a reaction?! So I tried again when welts went away.. still redness, but I guess my body was getting used to it bc it wasn’t as bad. Thing is, not only am I getting this reaction, but I’m using it as an anti odorant and by around 5pm I’m starting to feel like I smell… so I have to use again. I’m not a huge sweater, I’ve never had a problem with deodorants not working for me before. EVER. Now the red bumps aren’t a big issue by this point, the actual job it wasn’t bought for is the issue. Not only that, I don’t feel protected or fresh after using it. I feel sticky and uncomfortable. I gave this damn product in both forms plenty of time, I can safely tell you not to waste your money.
