This Spotting Scope is smaller and lighter, but focuses at much shorter distances because there's not so much "optical demand" with the 70mm objective lens. It runs easily through the 25x to 75x with crisp, sharp images. I like this one very much for it's ability to focus on close objects for amazing textures. The SV28 is a great bargain for the price, with the small range tripod (for the prone position, or use on a table) the phone holder for photos, and the soft case with a decent, adjustable strap. The front lens cap fits better than the one over the eyepiece, but they're both a little loose so you need fix that or be careful so you don't lose them. If you don't keep the lenses covered when the scope is not in use they'll get dusty. Many people ruin their optics when trying to clean them, (it's very hard to do properly) so the best solution is to NEVER touch the glass and ALWAYS use the caps to protect those delicate lenses! Before you go any further, recognize that you're paying for a budget sighting scope. That's not a knock, just a reality. I don't have an optics engineering degree, I'm no professional in this field. But within a minute of setting this up, I was finally able to breathe a sigh of relief, knowing that I finally found what I needed. I've been looking for a scope that would help me sight in several rifles at 100 yards. I've returned 2 that just couldn't cut it. This 25x70x75 literally hit the mark instantly. Clarity- perfect Defrag- no hazing at 100 yds Price- for what I need- exceptional So why only 4 stars? Both protective lens covers fall off if I stare at them long enough. If they were to rehab that, 5 stars all the way. Incredibly happy with everything else. Mount isn't a write- home-about Mount, but sturdy enough that I don't feel the need to bring out my more pro gear. Phone attachment- haven't used yet, but also very good construction and based on the overall product, I'm not concerned. And for the sub $60 price vs. a Vortex? You get my money all day. Read more
I’m honestly blown away by the quality of the SVBONY spotting scope. The clarity is outstanding, and the amount of light it pulls in was far beyond what I expected at this price point. It makes a huge difference in low-light conditions, and the image stays sharp and bright. The included tripod was a great bonus—sturdy, easy to set up, and really adds to the overall value. For the money, this is an incredible deal. I couldn’t be happier with the purchase and would definitely recommend this scope to anyone looking for great performance without spending a fortune. Good value for the price. The magnification is exactly what I was looking for to view bald eagles that nest in the area. The one disappointment which won't change my rating is the attachment for the cellphone. While you can take photos it is very difficult to align the cellphone, and the quality does not come out great. But this has nothing to do with the scope and all to do with the phone. Read more

The glass is clear, it will serve its purpose. Controls are smooth. Zoom is smooth. Only complaint is the tripod. The standard tripod sucks. Thin, janky and doesn’t hold its place. The “enhanced” tripod works good though. You get both if you get the enhanced. It’s a bit bulky and only the scope fits in the case. Have to carry tripod separately. For the price it’s good, it will do what you want. Also has a phone adapter. Seems like it would be ok but I have no intention of using it. Read more
I'm satisfied; the price is decent for its spotting scope quality. Read more
Solid and reliable. I wish the tripod was a little heavier, or had a fine-tuning adjustment, but the lenses are pretty clear and the phone adapter works well. Read more
