Got these for my 15 year old son. He is about 5'4 and 165 and the size 30 fits him decently. I probably should have gone up a size just to give him a little extra room in them in the waist but mostly they are fine. It helps that the waist is elastic with a tie string. Speaking of which, the tie string did come out of the pants on his first wear but that's mostly his own fault for not bothering to tie it. I have already restrug the lace and it's fine. The length for my son is a little bit long but only by a small bit but again, he's only 5'4. Otherwise they have held up nicely while he wears them and they have washed just fine.
