I got these as a replacement adhesive for my existing switchbot, but instead, I ended up playing a fun game called “How Long Will This Stay Stuck?” The answer? Not long enough. At first, everything seemed fine. I peeled the backing, stuck it where I needed it, and for a brief, shining moment, it held on like a champ. But after a short while, I started noticing that things were slowly coming loose. Like, I’d walk by and see my SwitchBot hanging on for dear life, just waiting for the right moment to make its escape. Now, I figured maybe some dust or dirt got on the adhesive, so I did what any rational person would do—I washed it with water, hoping it would regain its stickiness. Yeah… that didn’t work. Instead, it just made things worse. The adhesion went from “meh” to “why even bother?” faster than I could regret my life choices. It’s frustrating because I really wanted to like these. When they do stick, they do the job, but the moment any dust, dirt, or the slightest breeze touches them, they lose all will to live. If I wanted something this fragile, I would’ve used tape and called it a day. Read more

I bought these to replace the adhesive on my switchbot after we had to replace our light switch. The adhesive on the little square pieces is absolutely pathetic; the switchbot literally could not function because that piece would pop off every time the switch was activated, no matter how hard I pressed it on first. Thankfully, we found an extra of that piece that came with the switchbot originally, and magically everything worked fine. It’s absurd that this adhesive sold BY THE BRAND is such lower quality than what comes with the original product. Read more
