SYL Fitness Wall Mounted Weight Plate Holder Fit 2 inch Olympic Weight Plates Scratch Resistant Surface

I purchased the SYL Fitness Wall-Mounted Weight Plate Holders to replace my existing weight plate holders that have seen better days. I was pleasantly surprised when I got them because they were thicker, stronger, and looked much nicer than my existing ones, even before you take into account how worn out my existing ones were. The best part is that the post tilts slightly upwards, so my weight plates will stay on more securely. The metal is thick and has a good foundation to attach to the wall. The Olympic-sized plastic sleeve can be removed, meaning these plate holders will store both standard or Olympic plates. It came with clear instructions, an allen key for removing the sleeve, and two types of bolts needed to mount it to either cement or wooden wall studs. Very happy with the value of these mounted weight plate holders, as they are much nicer than the ones I previously had and are sturdy and seem to be of high quality. Attach it to a stud, pre-drill pilot holes to ensure stud doesn’t split reducing product liability and you’re golden!! 180 Lbs on one wall mounted peg is 😱👏 I marked it 4 stars for value money because the black paint does rub off. I also marked 3 stars for the easy assembly since it comes with no directions. Overall rating sturdiness matters so I gave it 5 star. Mounting tip if you like the spacing set up: Lay your pegs out on the floor with the weights as you would like them to look on the wall. I did a 2 inch spacing between each weight for accessibility clearance. Take a sting and double knot it to the first peg (allow enough room to slip off when finished tying all pegs together). Keep a tight line while moving the string to the next peg and tie another double knot around that peg. You can choose to cut the string here and repeat for the other pegs or continue on tying them all together with the same string if it’s long enough. Once completed, remove the string (label if needed) from the pegs by slipping them off. Take off the weights and prepare your pegs to be mounted. Mount the first peg to your liking and then take the string for that weight peg and slip the loop over it. Take the next loop and slip it over the peg to be mounted for the next weight. If done correctly, you are limited on the distance to mount the peg from the one already mounted. Use a stud finder to make sure you’re still following the stud and mark the drill holes mounting the next peg. Repeat the process with the rest of the string(s) until you mounted your last peg. These are great wall mount weight plate holders! I'm building a 2x4 frame around my bike rack. Gonna attach these to it and use them to store my kids' color coded weight plates. Give them their own separate workout center storage space. Fantastic price for a pair of two. Solid construction. Zero defects. Well packaged and shipped quick. Fit my 2" Olympic red dot weight plates and black rubber bumper plates perfectly. I love that each post comes with a hard rubber protector ring to keep your weights from smacking against the metal base. And the slight up tilt of the weight shaft helps keep your weight plates secure all the way out to the very tip. Just make sure you don't install them upside down (think that tilt would spell out your 'oops' pretty quick!). Comes with mounting hardware including expansion bolts. I'm sold! Mounting hardware is silver in color versus the black finish on the base plate and post. Not a big issue for me, but it's a good heads up to know. Nothing a little touch up paint couldn't correct if you're really gonna get that picky about it (PSST - when the weight plates are on there, you'll never see it). Enjoy! Read more

The weight plate holders worked out great and were of very good quality. The only issue I had was with the masonry mounting hardware. Drilled holes and installed, but the bolts wouldn't tighten enough and eventually pulled through the anchor. Read more

Great wall mount for the weight plates. If you remove the allen bolt and slide out 2" tube, it becomes 1" for the dumb bell weight plate. I like the round ends for 2", very easy to slide the weights on to it. Read more
