This is my first experience with the Symmons brand and I am impressed. For this price point, I wouldn't expect the level of fit and finish present. The control works and operates smoothly, the chrome-plated brass finish is without machining defects, and the entire install went very smoothly. Instructions are clear. The overall product is perfect for a small bathroom fixture with room for only a single hole on the deck. Note that the standard product has a 1.5gpm flow restrictor, but 0.5, 1.0, and 2.2 flow restrictors are available from the company. This version has a drain plug that is operated by a handle on the back of the faucet, but there is a version of the faucet available (easier installation) that simply has a metal pop-up drain in place of the standard. A deck plate is also available in case you're covering over a prior three hole install. Finally, there's a satin nickel finish available which I didn't look at. The hoses which come with the unit are braided and should provide long life. Overall, a great choice for a small bathroom and a clear step up from less expensive and poorly made units. Read more

I'd never heard of Symmons until I installed this faucet. Color me impressed. Installation is straightforward - if you've ever installed a single hole faucet, you can do it almost by feel. If this is your first faucet install, it's easy - the only special tool you need is a faucet wrench/basin wrench. I used to maintain a couple of apartment buildings - so have plenty of experience maintaining and replacing faucets! General observations: The gasket that seals the base of the faucet to the sink/counter is a heavy, counter-sunk gasket - not a thin pancake seal that many use. There's very little that's plastic - just the drain pipe - and that's about 3 times thicker than most faucets have. The pop-up stopper is chrome plated steel, as is the drain seat. The faucet itself is chromed with a flawless finish and has a very smooth operating handle. No "chrome" plated plastic anywhere. There's even an adjustment collar beneath the handle that allows you to set a maximum rotation for the hot water, thus setting a max temperature. Great for kids bathrooms. No comparison to economy faucets! It's modern and sleek, and would be at home in almost any bathroom. Read more

This faucet is solidly built and easy to install. It has a basic rugged design that should last for a decade or two. A step up over standard Kohler, Delta or Moen bathroom faucets. Easy to install. Easy to use. No skimping with cheap components. I wish the aerator screen was made of metal; I wish the faucet came with an escutcheon. But those are minor concerns. This faucet is beautiful and looks far more expensive than it is. I have no plumbing skills, so I did ask a professional to install. He stated that the installation was quite easy and a handy person with basic plumbing skills would easily be able to do it. You will not be disappointed! Read more
