Phone holder works great! The construction and finish is really nice and the aluminum bracket is high quality and looks great. The mount attached easily to a relatively smooth plastic surface using the alcohol wipe first then pressing the mount to the surface. The hold is very strong with no shaking. I’m not sure about removing the mount in the future but if I ever sell the vehicle I’ll probably just leave the mount for the next owner. Everybody needs a phone holder and I’ll just purchase another. Read more

This holder is well designed and well made, and I found that it accommodated the curves of my car’s dashboard (Toyota Rav4) well. I was able to place it where it was out of the way and visible, but didn’t block the windshield too badly. Pluses: The metal parts are thick and well made; the knurled knob that attaches and detaches the holder to the dashboard piece in particular seems well machined and is a pleasure to use. The plastic parts are solid and work well. The slide that grips the phone clamps and releases easily. The adjustments that accommodate the slopes and curves of the dashboard—the slide, the hinge, and the ball joint—are adequate and hold well. The hinge and the ball joint hold well but they require two hands to operate so they can’t be adjusted while driving. The slide attachment moves 1-1/4”. Minuses: The big minus is the sticky dashboard pad. It does not stick to the curved, pebbly plastic surface of a dashboard at all. It might stick to flat, well-cleaned glass but not to anything else. I overcame this by gluing it with E6000 adhesive. The bond has not been tested by hitting very hard bumps in the road, but it has held in normal use for the month that I have owned it. The only other negative is that it is a small nuisance to mount and dismount if you want it out of the way when not using. But this is not really a fair way to evaluate this device; it is part of the decision between vent mount and dashboard mount. I only use it occasionally so this is a minor consideration. Read more

I gave it 1 stars because it does hang low like I like. I wiped my dash clean (twice). Stuck it on my dash for 2 days. Put my phone on it, and before I could leave out of my subdivision, it fell to the floor. It doesn’t stick at all. I paid $18 for a piece of junk!!!!! Don’t buy!!!! AND!!!!! It’s hot as H*LL to touch after being in your car, in the sun. Read more

I'm not a fan of plastic and I absolutely hate the clunky size of plastic arms and brackets. This is sleak and strong and the joints stay in position where I set them. The only issue is the same as I have with the plastic ones and that is the vibration and shaking while driving. This unit doesn't seem to shake AT ALL and there's a higher frequency of vibration due to it being metal, not plastic. And I show you a picture of my solution to that. Now it has almost zero vibration and it looks SO MUCH BETTER than any plastic phone brackets. I have no idea why we haven't seen lots more metal brackets so far. It sticks great to my textured dash and it's well built. I'd recommend this to everyone. Read more
