My pest control guy used this Advion Ant Gel on my window sills for Sugar Ants, and it worked like magic. They disappeared and, nearly 3 months later, I haven't seen another one. I was glad to find it on Amazon so I could have some on hand. Meanwhile, having read reviews with concerns about expiration dates, and finding only a code on my package, I called Advion to inquire. The company is easy to reach (phone number is on the box) and the gal I spoke with was very helpful. She said the product should be good for 3-5 years from when it was made. She looked up the code from my box and said it was made January 2021. It's October 2025 now, so it's on the edge. To determine if it's good, she said, if it's sticky, that's good. If it's hard or watery, then it's not. Since the one I received is on the edge and may not even be useful, I'll be returning it. Otherwise, I highly recommend this product - given my experience with Sugar Ants. Also, just to share... my pest control guy advised not to use this unless there are ants present - because it's likely to attract them. This product was recommended to me by a friend who runs an exterminator business. It was worth it. It eliminated pesky brown ants that kept invading our kitchen. Well hot diggity dog!!! This done got all them little critters huddled round and then they was GONE! Put some of dis down yesterday and when I rose in the mornin - I couldn’t believe my eyes. But for real this was great. Very effective. Interesting packaging but sensible and worked fast. I used it for black ants I had the were becoming a NIGHTMARE because no one listen when I say “NO FOOD UPSTAIRs”.
