The Beelta Tablet Desktop Stand is very heavy duty and really helps to ensure your iPad (or other tablet) sits at a perfect level for working and stays securely in place. The item is made of sleek, black, heavy gauge metal, with the finished stand weighing 3.5 pounds. The stand does require assembly but it comes with everything you need to fully assemble the item including 2 extra screws, the assembly tool, and pads for the bottom of the stand, once it is assembled. From unpacking to having a computed stand took about 10 minutes. The directions were fairly straightforward. A few things to point out about the stand are: Once you place your tablet in this stand and finish the assembly, you would have to unassemble the stand to get your tablet out. For this reason, this stand is best in an office situation where you regularly use your tablet since to move your tablet would mean you need to move the entire stand. The stand comes with a security lock - a combination lock secured to a cable. While this is a terrific feature, the item did not come with any instructions about how to set the combination for this lock. For some, this might be common knowledge but for me it's not and I have no idea how to set the combo. I know that an internet search can likely give me the answer on this but it doesn't seem that it would have taken up much space in the assembly guide to include instructions for this. The item comes with a USB C adaptor to plug into the power port on your table, so you can redirect the positioning of your tablets power cable from sticking out the side of the stand at an awkward angle to facing down. This is a brilliant feature! You need to pre-measure your table to make sure it fits into this stand. The range is 10.5' - 11". Unfortunately, I have an older iPad so it does not fit securely (I can only lay it in the stand). This is not the fault of the manufacturer just something that is worth mentioning since this stand is designed for very specifically sized tablets. Very heavy. Built just for the products listed in the description. I though I'd be able to use it with my Galaxy, but it doesn't fit quite right, so I had to modify it. Otherise, very durable product, very strong materials, very functional. Easy to use--even if you're not a pro. There is some assembly required. The lock comes in handy. Read more
