This bed is so nice I really must tell you about it!. I have two small, adopted, senior dogs. One blind, very long body, curley dachshund, who is almost 17y/o & one, huge, Corgy-type Chihuhua "cross," who is at least 9 y/o. Both seniors need full support, room to stretch out, accassionally have accidents during sleep, both need to be off the floor, on something warm, (in winter I use two pet large-sized, temperature-controled electric pads (see Amazon sizes), all of which can be quickly cleaned in the tub. This bed, pad and blankets make it a snap to easily re-make their bed almost daily. It also needs to be high enough so that air currents on the floor don't impact their sleep, or expose them to any cool temperatures in summer or winter. This mattress is about 4" high (for short legged pups) & light weight, easily moved & lifted using a well-sewen handle on one, long side. I bought the navy blue 6ft+ long bed. When necessary, it can be "shortened" by lifting & folding the ends against the walls to keep the wall(s) clean & them from rolling off. The fabric is in-door/out-door, but not hard or ruff to the touch. My walls are not scuffed and it has resisted chewing...no holes after several months of use! It is waterproof enough that I put it into the tub onto it's side to quickly & easily wash it down with dish detergent and/or bleach; sometimes all it needs is a wipe down using bleach wipes. I keep a small refillable detergent bottle in the tub caddy, (see Amazon tub supplies), with the ever-cleaned, dedicated, dish brush. Once rinsed and dried with a deducated shammy (for years I have used Amazon yellow or orange automotive shammys to dry all my dogs off after their baths. This is because once the shammys are wet and wrung out tightly the shammy holds twice the water then a towel, it saves a lot of laundry, they rinse clean, and can be washed in the laundry with towels.) After washed in the tub and dried, I lean the mattress against the wall for an hour or so to be sure it has no moisture left on the bindings; it dries fast. Both dogs love this bed and normally I awake to find them sound asleep, paws in the air. I use an Amazon "on sale" queen-sized, cotton mattress pad that I cut in half, (giving me a quick replacement to re-make the bed quickly while I complete the laundry). I cover the mattress pad with an Amazon water-resistent blanket and I use a nice, fluffy blanket on top of the water-resistent blanket, all tucked under the mattress for a comfy, soft surface. I removed the stuffing from new pillows to provide low-stuffed (4" or 5" or so) pillows covered with "on-sale, one-off," clean pillow cases to give them enough space to lean on to help them breathe easier at night. During the summer, I use a light blanket & a heavier fluffy blanket (an out of season Amazon lap blanket is perfect), in winter, to cover both dogs to give them plenty of cover to burrow under. We love this bed. It finally solves the bed-hopping problem and the extra bedding to wash. Mom is so happy and when Mom is happy ...EVERYONE (three cats & two dogs) are happy too! This is a really awesome bed and is the winner out of all of the doubles of 6 previous beds I purchased trying to solve a number of issues at once! I normally find, that except for me; it is big enough that everyone is sound asleep, all together on this awesome bed! This is a great effective dog bed for dogs that like to chew. The set up was very easy and a size fit perfect for my dog crate which is 54 inches. The material is very resilient against my great Dane. He loves using it at first he tried to bite through it, but I think he realized he can’t so now he just enjoys the bed. I had some issues with the zipper. The customer service assisted me with and they were very helpful. It’s actually the best customer service I have ever had. They heard my concerns they understood and they provided a solution. I can’t be happier with this product. I trust this company now. this is a great value for the money. My delivery was damaged and we had to repurchase another bed to fix the issue , the amazon representative that I talked to about this was very rude and Didn’t seem to want to help and she lied to me , she told me she canceled the first order and I would get a refund and that never happened, I got the bed I re-ordered and then a week later I got the bed they told me was damaged and would be refunded , so it was a big hassle just trying to get the beds and get it all fixed because the Amazon representative was so unhelpful and rude , but the dog bed seems to be a decent quality and my German Shepard’s love it outside , we have a inside bed but this one is water proof and a canvas type material , so far we are happy with dog bed ,we ordered brown and it looks nice and comfortable, easy to put the cushion in the cover and zip up , the size is big and it’s the material that can be wiped off Read more

I love this bed and my dogs are rough. It is easy to remove the cover and wash and then you simply hang it outside and it will drive very fast because it is waterproof. It is a thicker foam and has been holding up well for my two dogs one that is 155 pounds. Read more

Great Outdoor dog bed! I've been looking for an outdoor dog bed for our dogs. They are outside dogs and we live in Iowa so we have some pretty harsh winters. Our dogs stay on our large open porch near our door. This dog bed keeps them warm with the foam inside and the cover can be washed off with a hose rather than putting it in a washing machine. My wife won't let me do that. So this bed is well made, cleans easily, my dogs love it and it comes in a myriad of sizes. What more could one want. I've order 2 more to put in their cages where they sleep at night in a semi heated garage. I just hope they don't discontinue them! Love them!!! Read more

Let me start by saying this is a very nice product, and worth the money. But for those considering getting a bed for a senior or arthritic dog I would say that the material used on the cooling option (no fuzz or fluff on cover) is a very slippy material, making it hard for my old girl to get up from her nap. I would love a bed cover that had slight tooth to it so her paws and nails could catch vs slide (without it being hot). Otherwise this is very nice. It's strong, comfortable and clearly made well.
