I have a half Blue Heeler and half Australian Shepperd. She absolutely loves this ball. I was skeptical at first as she didn't quite know what to do with it. But now, holy crap she would play with it for hours if we let her. Pup loves the ball. My concerns with this ball is the stitching on seam came apart and the zipper broke after a short amount of time. I had to replace with a heavy duty zipper. Read more
Lasted less then a day! Zipper broke during 1st 5 minutes of play which allowed my dog to grab the cover and shake which then the cover started to rip apart which then allowed her teeth to touch the ball and bye bye fun. The little bit she tried to play with it she really had fun. Now I'm out money and have a sad dog :-( Read more
My puppy loves this ball but they keep popping. I have bought two and both only lasted hours. I am glad I purchased the cheapest version I could find. I have purchased cheap 18" balls to put inside the cover to give him a little bit of fun but it's not sustainable. Maybe when he gets older and I can get a larger size, Read more

I am mixed on this herding ball. We have a smaller plastic ball that my German shepherd loves, but it is hard and makes all kinds of noise as it hits the house and fences. We got this one since it is softer and about twice as big. After looking at other reviews, I brought this out under very tight supervision while my shepherd was playing with it. He chased it a bit, but was trying to bite it at every turn. After redirecting him several times, he gave up. It may take some time for him to get the idea, but at least after about 10 minutes, the ball was still in one piece. I do have a big problem with the pump. It was taking forever to try to pump with what I would consider a toy pump. I used a car tire inflator and the ball inflated quickly, more fully, and I was able to seal it without as much air escaping. I think this ball is good for smaller dogs with a smaller bite, the outside material seems fairly sturdy and the rubber ball is kind of thick. We'll see how it stands up to the roughness of a rambunctious shepherd. Read more
