I’d never used the kind with a charging port built right into the battery, so I was worried they might feel cheap or fail early. After throwing them into my front door’s deadbolt lock, they’ve been going strong for two months without a single hiccup. The power delivery stays consistent, and I haven’t had any random drops or flickers that would make me second-guess using them in something important. Very impressed with these...as they give you about as much power as a normal AA battery...except ofc you can recharge them, up to even 1,000 cycles. Meaning...you save a lot of money on batteries...while also helping the environment with less batteries constantly being thrown away and all the environmental ramifications of that. So these are 3,000mWh which is on par with a normal AA battery, which is I belive 2,700-3,000. Now one concern with rechargeable batteries is how long they last before they need to be recharged. So I cannot speak to how long these last, as traditionally batteries will probably last longer before needing to be replaced, which is about the only thing they still have going for them. But even with that being said...these came fully charged right out of the box, which is a great sign, as I have a battery tester and tested them. So even if they last say, 50% as long as a normal battery....as you will be recharging them up to 1,000 times....you will still be getting huge, huge benefit. These are also very easy and convenient to use...as you do not need to worry about having or getting a charger or anything like that. As these come with a handy usb plug with 4 prongs. (normal blocky type USB A, not the thinner USB 3.0.) So you can charge all 4, or any amount of the batteries that you want, at a time. So convenient. Bottomline: I tested these in my battery tester and they came fully charged right out of the box...and seem to work well. They offer equal power to normal batteries...however they likely will need to be swapped out more frequently than normal batteries. With that said...as you can recharge them up to 1,000 cycles...you will be saving a lot of money either way, and helping the environment by avoiding additional battery waste. These are pretty cool little batteries. I actually got them for my dogs nail grinder and was upset they did not work in the grinder, but they did work in other things! I think it's the design of the battery, they don't make contact as well on the negative side because it is completely flat. They charge pretty quickly and the included cord is a plus, all 4 on one plug. Read more
