Purchased two of these sets, the basic one for English speaking for a grandsons birthday, and a second one with added Spanish for my personal use. My little grandson is just two years old and sits and plays the cards all by himself! The card reader says the word of the card placed into the reader and then makes the sound of the card inserted. The cards display a picture of the word as well. So this reader helps to identify the picture and name of the picture through word & sound. Super simple to use!
