I have some hyperpigmentation and when summer is over and my face gets lighter and my spots become darker. I did my normal skin care at night and before using my Varicream moisturizer I added 4 drops! When I woke up, I went Whoa!! I had a tan. Now, my hyperpigmentation was a bit darker! So, what worked for me the next few times was to get a wet qtip ready and after application, i use a wet qtip on the dark spots to get rid of the tanning stuff. It seemed to work. I used 3 drops in my face lotion this morning and am very impressed with the development of color throughout the day. No orange. No streaks. For the first few hours I did notice I could feel it. It wasn’t sticky but it felt like my lotion was not absorbed all the way. There is also a very faint chemical smell. It’s not bad or unpleasant but it’s there. Read more

For what the product is, it worked very well! Great color, easy to cater to personal preference of how dark and it didn’t have the typical self tan strong smell. But as an acne prone girly… a day after using it my face responded poorly to it. So just take that as a caution if you are more sensitive/acne prone. Where has this been all my life? I normally HATE self tanning because of the smell.. I’m a nurse and can handle some pretty awful smells but I cannot tolerate self tanner (not sure why).. this stuff still has a smell but it’s MILD. I can’t tell you how much better it is. Additionally, I can combine it with my medical grade moisturizer so I don’t have to worry too much about unnecessary ingredients/breakouts. I used 2-3 drops on day one and noticed a mild change in color. The next day I used 3-4 and noticed a big change. My ONLY complaint is that my neck/chest doesn’t seem to absorb it so my face is dark and my neck/chest is light (haha). I would recommend getting the smaller bottle because a little goes a loooong way. Read more
