I installed this fixture in a large, walk in, closet in desperate need of bright light. The lamp DOES produce lots of light, although the color selection process is awkward and I'm not certain if your chosen color remains. I did NOT keep the fixture up long enough to know. BTW, I've installed MANY light fixtures and ceiling fans. I KNOW what I am doing. N.B. NO WAY to ground the fixture, although that might not be necessary. NO GROUND WIRE. After being on for 30 minutes, the rim of the base was HOT to the touch. Since we almost had a house fire caused by a defective Philips 4 foot LED, I am NOT willing to take a chance. The Seller responded to my question VAGUELY. My house has 120 volts at 60 cycles - standard American AC current. I took it down and returned it. Read more
