Purchased this to weigh a sick cat. Bought it because it was identical to the one our vet uses. Very easy to use. (Would be easier with a baby, cats don't always like to stay still.) Zero's itself before every use. Final weight calculation is easy to read, locks in and flashes until the weight is removed. Measures down to tenths of ounces. Read more
I love the scale for confidence in accuracy, low profile, and the pan being big enough that the small pet doesn't immediately try to walk off. It would be absolutely perfect if the numbers display had a back light. I do not understand why it does not given the price point. I have been a veterinary professional for over 40 years and every pediatric and larger pet scale I've used (several different general practice clinics and emergency/specialty clinics) has BACKLIGHTED scale displays. Nice clean design, and the size I was looking for to monitor my cats' weights (room for a cat to stand or eat a treat, but not too bulky for the available shelf). It agrees within an ounce of my veterinarian's scale so that's a good sign. Has a horribly short timeout period (about 10 seconds) between hitting "On/Tare" and shutting itself off. It often takes a little longer than that to get a cat standing still on it. In a better design the timeout would be longer or even adjustable. Read more

This scale is simple to use and is of very high quality. Made in Japan, hence the higher price point for cheaper quality and arguably less accurate Chinese scales. Read more
Got this one to measure how much our newborn weighs before and after feeding. One time he even went from 7lb 5oz to 7lb 3.5oz AFTER he fed... very inaccurate not useful for exact measurements especially fort the price it is very disappointing - will send it back. Read more
Works well in our veterinary exam room. Lot cheaper than if ordered through medical catalogue. Same thing but different price. Reading comes up quick too on squirmy cats. Read more
