Went against the directions warning against putting this on wool rugs. I placed directly on 100 year old oriental rugs and fuzzy flokati wool rugs. We had over 1,000 people touring our home during a rainy weekend and this worked well to see the rug underneath while protecting from dirty shoes. Next time I will wrap the edges of the rug with non sticky saran wrap/cling wrap first then place this adhesive film. When removing this from the edges it did want to pull on the wool knots where the ends are frayed. If there is an area that has a tear that would pull wool or fiber, I would suggest covering that will saran wrap too. The saran wrap will stick to the adhesive film but not allow it to stick to a delicate area on rug or carpet. Slight learning curve on how to place. 2 people make it go quicker. We placed a few inches onto wood floor and rolled onto rug, lifted up and unrolled about 2 feet while other person smoothes film from middle out to edges. When removing the film roll from edges into center and it sticks to itself while keeping dirt contained. I'll use this again. Read more

We used this to protect the carpet during our move, and it worked great! It stayed in place and removed easily and cleanly when we were done. A couple spots on the stairs had a hole because the dolly caught the edge, but other than that, it held up to the furniture and us. Application was difficult, however. I tried to apply it myself, but it's so sticky, it just kept rolling in on itself when I tried to put it down the stairs. So I enlisted my husband's help, and he was able to pull it straight out so I could stick it in place. Much easier that way! Overall, it met our needs, and I would recommend it. Read more

We tried with 3 people to try to make this stuff work, it is terrible. There is no way to get it to unroll without constantly taring. I can work around just about any challenge, but this is truly a crap product. It sticks well, so well you cannot get it off the roll...again without it taring. I don't usually return items, but this is heading back. Seriously one of my top 5 worse products ever purchased off Amazon. Safe yourself the effort... get something else. Read more

I have never applied this type of product before so I have nothing to compare it to. I was surprised how hard it was to unroll. It did stick well to the carpet when I was moving in. I found it hard to unroll and attach to the stairs. But it does protect the floor. Read more

We have bought this twice not. A great idea if you are hosting a party and do not want your carpet to get dirty. The adhesive quality is great. The tape is very durable Read more

We used this carpet protection film during our recent move, and overall, it was wonderful. It provided excellent coverage and gave us real peace of mind with all the foot traffic from the movers going in and out. Even with a large dog walking across it constantly, it held up impressively—no punctures, no tears. The only challenge was applying it. Doing it solo was definitely tricky—it tends to bunch or stick where you don’t want it to. With two people, though, the process was much smoother and quicker. Once it was down, it stayed put and did exactly what it was supposed to do. Highly recommend for anyone moving or doing renovations, just grab a second set of hands for the application! Read more

This protector is perfect! Just finished getting my carpet ready for New Year's. Goes down easily and stays down. Ignore the nay sayers complaining about it sticking to itself. Uh...hello people! It's a giant sheet of tape so of course it sticks to itself. You'll get that with ANY product of this type. Just plan ahead and take your time. Someone complained about the edges not sticking but that's not the case. They were likely applying to a dirty floor. Remember, it is a giant sheet of tape so it'll behave as such. When you have finished applying, leave about an inch and fold onto itself so you've got a place to grab when starting again. Read more
