After two previous robo vacs the Tapo is way far our favorite. Been in use for over 6months and no issues, other than picking up shoe string, cat toys etc (Operator error). Quieter, compared to a Shark vac,, which we returned for that reason. Not as quiet as a Bobsweep, which we still have but had tracking issues. But the Tapo goes further in its programming , app function and reliability. Its the app that makes this one outshines the rest. Way more functionality and ease of use once you figure out what you want it to do. It navigates under tables, chairs, furniture with no problem, it figures out the obstacles quickly. You can monitor in real time. Compared to our other two, they all have same suction power. Picked up debri and pet hair with no problem. Edge cleans very well. We have it run several programs to cover our floor area which is rather large, the battery lasts for all but one program which is the largest area and rooms. The vac returns to dock , recharges then continues at a preset time. It has the mopping option which we choose not to use. Recommend weekly cleaning if you have the Empting Bin Dock, more if you dont. All three are loud when they selfs empty. Do these devices completely replace a manuel vac? My opinion no , but they do a great job in daily maintenance. Read more

Vacuum did a great job. The V30 model is definitely the way to go. I can see the 360 LiDAR at work in tight spots. It was even able to navigate under my son's powerwheels truck and in tight spots underneath cluttered tables and beds. Goes over floor transitions with ease. Mopped great. You are able to control the amount of water used and Vacuum speed wich is cool. The app is very detailed with a ton of options/controls and info. I already have Tapo cameras (which is what led me towards the vacuum because the cameras have been fantastic) so adding the Vacuum was a piece of cake. Im honestly super impressed. I know there's some not so good reviews, especially on the v20 model, but maybe they didn't have the firmware update or something. My house has many obstacles between the kids toys and furniture. It even sucked up wet leafs that had got tracked in just before the first run. Its also very quiet. I have it set to run at 12am when everyone is in bed. So as of right now its a 100% win. Time will tell. If any issues come up I'll update review. As of right now I'd definitely recommend. But again, the V30 model is much better just because of the 360 LiDAR. Spend the extra money. I really love this thing. It's very good quality overall for a fair price. The self-docking is great. It set on standard power, but you can increase it to have higher power if you need it. The cleaning options are nice because you can change it to one time pass... up to three time pass over your floor so that it thoroughly cleans areas, if you have high dirt area. I use this instead of increasing the power so it just covers the area a few more times versus making additional noise with high power. The remote control is your phone with the tapo app. I appreciate the design because I was able to put a child lock so that my cats weren't activating it anymore with the front buttons. I did have to work with the seller's tech support on something and they were extremely helpful. I didn't have it running for about a week and it was ridiculously missed. I have it run everyday and it keeps the daily dirt down. I have never used the mopping function although it looks like it's designed well for its use. It's just that for me the biggest value is in quality vacuuming, which it does. Read more

Everything about this vacuum is plain awful. I previously had a $65, bottom of the barrel robot vac that outperformed this one in every single category. Battery Life: Consistently less than half of the stated run time on medium suction Emptying: Is set on a timer of some kind so you just have to hope that it doesn't get full prior to the time limit being reached, otherwise it makes more mess than it picks up and spreads debris all over your floor. Dont bother trying to force empty it unless you feel like carrying it back to the base. Otherwise you'll spend an hour waiting for it to find it's way home only for it roam to the furthest out of reach corner it can find and loae all connection. Additionally, it actually gets everything out of the tank about 1 in 2-3 times. The rest of the time it will leave a nice pile for you in front of the base station. Mapping and "Smart Features": Might as well be non existent. They would be more helpful that way. It finds it's way back to the base about 1 in 5 times, maybe. Always stating "unstable network" Funny enough, I have business grade Internet and top of the line WiFi from who? Yup, TP Link Deco. 20+ other devices, not one having any issues with network stability. Even set it to high priority in QOS. Clearly this thing doesn't require more than a GB of dedicated bandwidth so I'm fairly certain it's not my network. Furthermore, the map updating literally makes the map worse every time this thing runs. The only reason I kept it past the return period was because with my old one (and most others from what I've read) a lot of this stuff gets better with time as it learns. This one truly cleans less of my apartment and takes longer to do it every single time I use is. Don't dare using the "lock map" feature, because that means that if it THINKS there's been a change and the map is locked, it just stops using that map and stops cleaning and is ready start creating a new map on the spot. No way to override this at all. Unfortunately, it says "environment has changed" literally every time it stops and starts moving again for any reason. Even in it's own accord or due to well documented obstacles. So your choices are leave the map unlocked and redo the whole thing every couple of weeks, leave it unlocked and didn't worry about half your floors not getting cleaned, or lock it, and it literally won't work at all. There are another 50 things that I could list here, but I'm getting frustrated frankly just recounting how awful this thing truly is. I have used and have been an advocate for tp Link products for years, but this is one of the biggest misses I've seen by a larger company like this in a long time. It is complete and total junk.
