I needed just a slight punch of gold for a particular dress, not a real belt as in to hold anything together but more of an accent piece for a chiffon fabric and found this delicate belt. It's a tie type so I can use in many ways, I like the 1-sided bow with this particular dress and it finished the look very nicely. I can see it will work for a long necklace type accent as well. This belt ties in a flattering bow on my 30" waist. The belt lengths I measured with (about 61") and without the tassel (about 52") were true to the description. When I pulled the bow tight, it stayed tied for hours. However, a loose bow didn't stay because the polyester used in the belt is somewhat slippery. I was surprised that the belt is very definitely metallic-looking, considering that it's made of polyester. It's pretty and looks fabulous with my formal red dress and with a dressy black pantsuit. However, some of my clothes that I'd expected would work with this belt didn't because the shiny gold belt overwhelmed the more subtly colored garment. The belt looked best with solid colored clothing or with clothes with a metallic gold print. I strongly recommend the belt and also recommend that you order it knowing that you have appropriate clothes to wear with it. Read more
