Yes, these are small, altho they are said to hold 10 oz., I haven't measured them. But I am using them in my bathroom, which is various shades of white with coral and ivory towels. Tile goes up the walls, maybe 5 feet, and I have a clear acrylic shelf immediately above the tiles just to the right of my sink. The shelf space is limited, so I am glad to have smaller containers. I'd thought I would replace a 2-part all acrylic container that holds cotton balls and Q-Tips, but have decided to keep that and use one of these for flat cotton pads and the other, at least for the moment, for small, clear hair elastics. While some have called these contain-ers too thin and shoddy, I would simply call them delicate, and again, I appreciate their size given my limited shelf space. I guess I was lucky as the lids arrived in one piece, the little handles are straight and they fit reasonably well--not airtight, but snugly enough to keep dust out. As I've bought a few other bamboo accessories, I'm pleased with the warmth they bring to my bathroom. BTW, these are the same height as the container that currently hold my Q-Tips, and my sense is one of these would hold a reasonably amount, not chintzy to my eye. I'm pleased. Read more
