We purchased this 7 months prior to writing our review. As stated, this bench is very poorly constructed for being in a wet environment. The top bench braces are only glued in place and thus failed quickly. Protip, this wood is very oily and care must be taken to remove oils prior to applying glue or the glue joint will fail. Further, the failure to reinforce the very weak joint with any fasteners means that it's a matter of "when" this bench will fail, not "if". Buyer beware. That said, I can highly recommend GRK trim head #8x1-1/4in trim head screws as a rapid repair to this poorly constructed piece of furniture. Read more
Loved this bench, until it started growing spores only after 2 months. I knew I’d have to keep up with care to avoid this, but never did I think it would be after only 2 months. 5 stars on assembly as it came put together. 5 stars on sturdiness because we have a natural river rock shower bottom. Works well on the uneven surface. I just can’t get over the spores already. Really disappointed. Read more
