I wanted something to lift up my lap top a bit so I don’t have to bend my neck constantly looking down. I wanted it more eye level. There were so many to choose from but I narrowed it down to this one. Glad I did! It’s perfect! Easy to put together and very sturdy. I love that it came in a white color. And the added bonus is you can fit things under it!!! So I keep my calculator, lists and sticky notes under there. It gets that stuff off my desk area. The 14.2" unit was the perfect height and width for my Commodore 64 retro-computing setup. The stand is sturdy in construction, being composed of laminated particle board-core construction, the same as most office furniture, and it looks great. The stand assembled in minutes with cam-lock construction and the instructions were easy to follow. Spare hardware was included in event something was lost, and the assembly kit also included a small screwdriver, which was all that was necessary to construct the unit. Product arrived nicely packaged and in great condition. It was easy to assemble and took 4-5 minutes to put together. All the pieces were present—plus one extra in each style—and they all fit and worked correctly. Instructions were clear enough to follow. Of course this is composite wood and doesn’t look like real wood but it’s decent enough looking at a glance. The only thing I should mention is the screw sticker covers are not at all the same shade as the “wood grain color” and are almost worse than doing without, but they are in the inside so you can’t see them at all angles (see photo for reference).
