Its slim, comfortable, now comes with colored buttons, and is actually drop-rated. not like the fancy bs cases with leather and wood trim, or the rugged block ones with NO DROP RATING. These cases do expire, so to speak. after a number of years the plastic material gets a little crumbly, maybe from chemicals i have on my hands. but it takes years (I think 3-4 years would be a good time to replace preemptively). And I drop my phone every single freakin day, everywhere, all the time. i'm a mechanic, my hands are thrashed. This is well engineered. it'll even save your uncovered/unprotected screen from breaking because it properly absorbs shock. unless you hit it on the screen by dropping it on an irregular surface like gravel, face first. Get a tech21 case. they're the only legit case makers on the market. they clearly hired real engineers. Read more
I've bought Tech21 cases for at least my last 3 phones. They always have done a great job of protecting the phones. Fitment is great as always. On this case, the back is smooth and the sides are textured. It's enough to help with grip, but not so textured that it can't slide in and out of pockets with ease. Very happy with this purchase. I've had this case for most of my previous phones and I have to say it never disappoints. It fits perfectly on the phone and feels good in the hand. I really like the texture of the bumper. It feels different than my previous ones. The extra buttons they included are cool. The reason I took one star away is because it already had a scuff on it before I ever took it out of the box. You don't pay $40 for a case and expect it to come with a scuff or scratch on it before you ever use it. Read more
