I have an old Norelco G370 razor. Love it. It was a cheap option, came with a dock, accessories, everything, and was only like $20 back in day. But the battery had grown weak over the years. I tried to find a new model to replace it with, but after three attempts with low, mid, and high end options, I don't think anything on the market today beats that old G370. So I decided to fix what I had instead. This is the correct battery you need for the job. It fits perfectly and brought it back to life. --| PROS |-- - Correct size, spec, and fit for the G370. - Solder tabs made the soldering easy and removal of the old battery could be cut instead of having to try to save the existing tabs. - Brought new life back to my old razor that I can't even buy anymore. --| CONS |-- - Provided heat shrink did tear on a burr on the solder joint sliding it up. I would recommend replacing the provided heat shrink with your own. - Getting through the install is a little hard. This is not due to the battery however, but the design of the G370 being a difficult teardown. --| Conclusion |-- If you have an old G370 and feel comfortable doing the teardown and solder job, this is a good battery that will bring it back to life. This battery was a direct replacement for my Norelco 7120X shaver - the tab had to be narrowed a sliver to fit the printed circuit board hole but this was easily done with kitchen scissors. This battery came already charged so I was able to test it before I reassembled the shaver. Shaver works like new again! Incidentally, this is the second such battery I have ordered from Tenergy for my shaver - the first lasted 3 years (from November 2014) after numerous charging cycles and cost about the same price as now (about $4.95 including shipping). I've ordered a lot of specialized batteries from Amazon and other places. Often they're not very good quality -- they've probably been on somebody's shelf for years. This time I got one that's in good shape, and even arrived with some charge in it. This installed easily into my beard trimmer, and has worked perfectly. Replaced a NiCd battery in a rechargable electric shaver. Arrived quickly. Fit, although I had to trim a little off the width of the tabs to fit the slots in the circuit board of the shaver. So far through 2 cycles and life has been excellent. Only issue is that the power output seems lower than the original battery. Shaver runs a little slower than I remember. Don't know if that's a characteristic difference between the peak output current of NiMH vs. NiCd, or some other cause. I just need to be careful to move the shaver more slowly to insure good coverage. Too early for me to judge likely life time. Read more

It is a good quality battery. The metal tabs on the + and - sides were too wide to fit into the slots on the shaver's circuit board. This was easily fixed with a pair of scissors. The metal tabs are thin and cut like paper. This battery has been in service for about two month and is meeting all expectations for performance. Read more

After 5-6 years of service, the rechargeable battery on my Philips HQ7140 shaver stopped recharging. Although I was able to use the shaver plugged into the outlet, it was an inconvenience. I emailed Philips customer service and various shave repair shops and none were helpful in advising which battery to buy for this model. Truth be told, they simply didn't want you to know how easy it was to change the battery yourself as a DIY project. I saved up to $70.00 in repair bills by doing this myself, and saved myself a further $140-200+ if I'd gone out to buy a new shaver. If you are at all handy and have a souldering iron, then you should have no problem replacing the battery. Just keep in mind where the positive and the negative poles should face. Notice also there are 'tabs' on this battery; this is where you would soulder the battery to your units connectors. Don't throw out your shaver! Repair it by DIY, ReUse, Recycle, ReFurbish it for a couple of dollars! After fully cleaning, detailing, replacing the battery, and replacing the blades - it is like I have a brand new unit.
